I have installed about two dozen D3's and have never hooked up the VSS, never had a customer complain about ANYTHING,(could have somthin to do with the fact I live in litte spokane washington,not alot of tunnels) dont have mine hooked up in my car,the only time it gets wierd is at the bank when im under the awning, it says I just keep on driving straight, until I get movin again. they DO make a part, it replaces the whole front part of the console,but with a pocket. It was for the non changer models.

Pioneer tech told me that when you pair the phone to your unit,do it with the volume on your phone all the way down, I fixed a customers by doing this. hope it works for some of you.

Try plugging the RCA into @ A/V in & check if you got a bad camera.

Sounds like you fried the ground shield on your rca's. Try a wire to the rca shield and the other end to ground. Ive seen that help.

Yellow/green @ the ABS mod rear drivers side eng compartment pin 10 or @ the cluster pin 6

the vss is in a blue plug pin 32, rev lt is +.

VSS is green/white @ pcm drivers side eng compartment. Rev lt is lt green @fusebox under rear seat.
