  1. Yeah. In my review posted on the previous page in this thread you'll see the issues. Later in my video it starts working. I think a bug fix from Spotify will resolve it.
  2. My review: http://youtu.be/zMsaTSTPeFc
  3. I have the 4000 and I would rather have a non-detachable faceplate for two reasons: It's wobblier than my avhx5500bhs display was. Making it detachable means it feels like it's not as firmly attached to the car when I poke at it. I have a passcode set on my 4000. If a thief steals it it's a brick. I know I almost certainly wouldn't get it back but there's some satisfaction in that and I've never had a radio stolen from a car (yet) anyway.
  4. I'm new here but I'm one of the AppRadio haters. What's your system?
  5. Without a doubt. A Bluetooth connection is made automatically for phone functionality and you'll see battery and signal strength on the main screen. You can do all the music stuff over USB while the Bluetooth connection is active. A long press on the radio's home button (or on your steering wheel, if properly configured) activates Siri in eyes-free mode. One thing "eyes free" means is you won't see your Siri conversation on your phone's screen. Every app I've tried (including NPR, Music, Podcasts, Pandora and Spotify) sends metadata and album art to the head unit's display, and responds
  6. Yeah. The whole to-bypass-or-not-to-bypass thing is so nutty. The main reason I put one in is that I don't want the radio to decide if it's okay for me to enter, for example, the bluetooth settings screen. Or rearrange my a/v input icons. Why is everything but those things okay when I'm moving? It's arbitrary and IMHO dumb. Well wouldya look at that! Thanks! I believe but cannot prove that Inrix sends the destination to Waze, not the route.
  7. Here's my video assessment of Appradio and Appradio live. It shows the nav from Appradio Live (Inrix), and it shows Waze, and it shows the"destinations to be exported directly into any of the user’s favorite AppRadio compatible navigation apps". I'm not a fan. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/39145-video-heres-my-assessment-of-appradio-and-appradio-live-on-my-4000nex/
  8. I played with Appradio over VGA on my AVHX5500BHS a year ago and hated it. Yesterday I tried it with my 4000NEX. I'm still not impressed and eager to see what happens with CarPlay. http://youtu.be/R--jAV6biTs
