  1. Had a galaxy s3 linked. Used Samsung hdmi adaptor. Controlled Pandora from head unit. Got an s6 but can't get it to link other than bluetooth for phone. Pioneer no help (shocker I know). Any suggestions? Install app? Didn't need to but try anything. Other part of issue is when cable plugged in its not charging makes me think adapter not seeing phone. Try pioneer hdmi adaptor? Thanks in advance.....
  2. The only way to get bluetooth musuc like pandora is to get the appropriate cable and hook it up to radio. I have an old ipod video and streaming music required me to unplug ipod. stupid setup and cost extraoney for cables but works flawlessly. Poor design in my opinion. Or maybe way to force extra sales......

  5. 7000nex.rockford fosgate amp boston acoustic components jl 10" single sub. Very happy w sound. I agree that you will need an amp to get the most out of new speakers. Remember that underpowering speakers is as bad if not worse that overpowrring. You can turn down amp but if underpowered distortion will kill aftrrmarket speakers.
  6. My ipod is an old classic video. Diuble check which usb port it is connected to.
  7. It is a port conflict. I had to get the cable kit for my phone to eliminate the conflict. Everything works now just annoying and little pricy to solve. Once i did it the set up is flawless.
  8. I have a 7000 in a 96 tahoe and there is no vss wire. My nex learned the truck and my gps is spot on. There is a learning mode for it. Sounds like something is up with it beyond the vss conection.
  9. I have a 7000 & ipod video (old school lol). Everything works perfect but if I shut off car when listening to a song, when I restart the car the ipod starts playing from the first song on ipod. The same thing happens if I switch from ipod to another source and back to ipod-starts from first song. Any ideas on how to get it to continue on from where I was at?
  10. If you use Pandora then get the cable kit from pioneer. I think it will work to stream downloaded music from the phone. It is a bit more money (50 for cable kit) but in my case well worth it. It's almost as if pioneer is forcing the sale of the cable kit. Good luck!
  11. Update: I had to get the droid cable kit and samsung gs3 adapter. Now pandora is run and controlled by the hu and I do not have to unplug the ipod. A bit more money but got the results I was looking for. Amazing unit!
  12. Have not tried to switch the usb ports yet. I talked to the installer and he feels it may be a settings issue where ipod is trying to take over the port.
  13. I have a 7000 Nex that replaced a Kenwood 6990hd that was a glitchy nightmare. LOVE this new unit but having an issue with streaming bluetooth audio (pandora). The phone (gs3) is synced to the unit. The phone works great. If I switch sources to bluetooth audio I get a message on the hu screen that says unavailable unplug devices from the cable. I unplug my ipod video from cable and I can stream music. If I plug the ipod back in it cuts the stream and I get the message again. It is acting like there is a port conflict. Any ideas? I just had it installed this past friday. And yes the ipod works
