  1. I know its not the same vehicle, but when I put my 6000nex in my Audi, I originally got the Metra dash kit and I hated it. I then got the Scoche and it looks much better. You could look for a place that has a good return policy so you could get it and check it out.
  2. I have a Google Nexus 4, so no carplay here. I have tried turning off the car and turning back on, and it doesn't work. I have also erased the bluetooth devices from the radio and phone and then reconnecting, I have removed the buttons on the front of the radio to turn off the power while driving and nothing seems to work other than turning off the car and waiting.
  3. I have the 6000 NEX installed in a 2002 Audi A4. Intermittently, I will not get any sound from the speakers. It doesn't matter what source is selected, HD radio, Bluetooth, video on SD card, etc. I can still hear the beeps from the headunit when pressing buttons, but nothing from the speakers. It doesn't do it everytime, and sometimes I get no sound from initial start of the vehicle, and sometimes as I am driving, it will cut out, come back on, and do that a few times before it stops working. I had RF filters installed because of popping when turning off the vehicle, so I took them off t
  4. Got it figured out. When I originally installed the HU, I called Crutchfield for the wires for the reverse and VSS...I finally figured it out the other day when I was on my way to work at 5am and turned on my fog lights...and the backup cam came on. Tested it today and sure enough, the reverse hookup was connected to the wire for the fog lights. After searching and searching (finding wiring diagrams for Audi's is quite difficult) and another call to Crutchfield, I got the right wire (on a different connector in a different area) and it works like it is supposed to now.
  5. The violet/white wire from the HU is connected. It is connected to a connector in the driver's footwell to receive the reverse input. Next step is to put the meter on that and make sure the connection is good.
  6. Just double checked the connection on the back of the HU...it was good to go. So, the RCA connection is good on the HU, the camera is receiving 12v switched power from the reverse lights, but it still doesn't turn on the video when the car is put in reverse
  7. sorry that wasn't clear. The camera has a led light built in for the license plate light, that is receiving 12v constant. The camera is receiving 12v switched from the reverse lamp in the tail light. I double checked the connections on the tail light and made sure the 12v switched power was working correctly and I still have nothing. I will go back out and check the rca connection on the back of the HU, just to make 100% sure it is right.
  8. No, it is plugged into the brown RCA connector.
  9. I have my 6000nex installed in my 2002 Audi A4. The backup camera is receiving 12v constant power from the license plate lights, and the switched line is tapped into the reverse light. I set the follow settings: Back Camera Input - On Camera Polarity - Battery But nothing happens when I put the car in reverse. If I change the Camera View setting from 'off' to 'on,' the video comes on when I put the car in reverse, but then a blank video screen will constantly come on while I am driving. From reading the manual, I should only have to set Camera Input to 'on' and then the polar
