  1. Well I also bought the IR remote for my wife to play with while I'm driving. I contacted the manufacturer of the SWI-PS shortly after I started having problems, and he told me to make sure the unit was getting power. I'm sure it is... but at least I'm not the only person having hte problem.
  2. Take a look at the seller's feedback. There are 2 negative fedback entries for this month: both are $450 Pioneer Navis. Both bidders say that they were scammed by this seller. While it is true that the saying "if it's too good to be true, it probably is," is accurate, but I subscribe to a more pragmatic philosophy: A fool and his money are soon parted. Someone let me know if you have any success getting 1) a product, or 2) a refund.

  4. I installed the SWI-PS when I did my new install, and after about 3 months, it started losing functionality... it would work about 10% of the time I tried it. I guess I need to take the dash apart and check the connections. Or has anyone else had this issue?
  5. I'm back. One of the issues I'm having is that I never looked in to completing the install to integrate the rear DVD player. Work caught up on me, and I didn't have the time to fiddle with it. It still has power (in that it will accept/eject a DVD), but no video/audio. I will likely just bring it to the installer when I get the extra cash. If anyone successfully installed it with rear-DVD functionality, in a 2005+ Expedition, I'd like to chat with them about it. Off the topic, I'm a little jealous of the new 2008 Expedition DVD players. They look much nicer and sleeker
  6. Hah. Once again, I'm a bit late on this. Under my old username (ThisIsZachary), I posted pictures of a new install (done by me, it took about 4 hours or so, including the steering wheel controls, XM/Traffic, and BT unit) in a new 2006 King Ranch Expedition. I bought the unit from Crutchfield, and the install sleeve that came with it fit perfectly. I am pleased with the overall appearance, but have issues with some functionality, which is why I'm here searching.
  7. Kind of an old post, but I just logged back in to this site after a 1+ year absence. I installed my Z1 in my 2006 King Ranch Expedition in August 2006. In fact, it's been so long since I logged in, I forgot my old username/password, and even the email address I used to register with in the first place. I used to use ThisIsZachary, but I've shortened it to my nickname and use ThisIsZac. This has been beaten to death, but Pioneer's legal department won't budge, regardless of how many letters are written. The risk vs. utility analysis they sit down and consider when writing these disclaim
