  1. This is REALLY important because I need to figure out if I'm returning my iPhone or just getting it exchanged fro a new one. Here it is: Has anyone had problems hearing the other end of the conversation when you are connected with your iPhone to the Z2? Specifically I here this digital "brdrdrrdrdrdrddrdrddrrdrdrdr" sound either before or after the person starts to talk which cuts out either the first half or second half of their conversation. If none of you are experiencing it, I'm going to assume I have a defective iPhone (I know it could be the Z2 or it's bluetooth unit) and get a re
  2. I hear Scranton, PA (ref. TV comedy: The Office) is an hour north of the Allentown area.
  3. Where at in PA? I'm moving to Mcungie on the 20th (from Ohio). Its in the Allentown/Bethlehem area (just north of Philli.).
  4. As I understand it from what I've read: 1. If you place an unlocked Z1 hard drive in a Z2 unit it will allow the two wire bypass. 2. The Z2 software (i.e. routing, iPod interface, Sirius interface, etc.) is almost exactly the same as the Z1 with little or no improvement. So what I want to know is where are the map files on each hard drive and can just the map files be swapped (move the maps from a Z2 HD to a Z1 HD)? The only reason I haven't ripped out my Z2, sold it on eBay and replaced it with a Z1 is that map accuracy is very important to me. Did I miss some post explaining
  5. I apologize. The way I originally read your post was that you were looking for a true bypass, not one with the hassle of resets every so often or flipping 10 different switches.
  6. Who cares how difficult it is. It sounds like anyone with a fair amount of electronics experience could do this bypass. I'm more concerned with if it truly works and if it affects the performance of the Z2 in anyway (i.e. the calibration or the correct reading of the VSS). I don't have much electronics experience. Could someone explain in more detail what these parts are? It would be great if the next person to try it takes pictures as they do it so they can share them if the process is successful.

    z1 nav ?

Great B now you're going to get sued when this guy crashes into someone while talking on the BT cell and looking at the NAVI screen, just like Pioneer is going to get sued every time some dumb-ass does an address search while driving or lets their passenger watch a DVD!!!
  8. You can finalize a CD-RW disk and still erase and write over it.
  9. Thanks for the backup guys . BTW I've been told it helps to set the speaker output to the Right speakers as far as reducing echo, but your results may vary.
  10. Yes, very well put... almost a month after the issue was dropped
  11. Yes, it is in the manual somewhere. If you hit the "AV" button and then choose "AV Settings" (or something like that) it is in that set of options. Sorry I'm not more specific. I'll write down the exact steps and wording next time I'm in my car.
  12. Maybe you should provide your HD image for some of these guys. A file could have been corrupted and that is what is allowing full functionality.

    Chevy HHR

Looks nice. I just drove an HHR this weekend as a rental. Never heard of them before that. Loved it though, fun to drive. It did take me a minute to find the power window controls and I looked like an idiot for about 5 minutes looking for the gas door release lever in the vehicle.
