  1. I have also experienced the popping issue and using 3 external amps - 2 pioneer 4 channels and 1 JBL mono. I get the popping when playing audio shutting off vehicle. I tried pausing the audio when I shut down vehicle and didn't get the pop.
  2. Starting happening to me today too after getting CarPlay setup.. surprised the heck out of me.
  3. Some nice reviews so far ...I'm curious when we will begin seeing additional apps added to the lineup. I suppose as more factory new vehicles begin to roll out we will also begin to see more apps. I like using my Escort app on long road trips ... will have to switch to App radio to do that.
  4. Up and running with Car Play ... had pull some dash and console panels to get behind unit to swap USB connections to USB 1 and get thumb drive connected to USB2. Interface for music looks great ... will only use Maps in a pinch. Message feature with Siri is cool. Wish they had the same with email.
  5. Not getting any work done this morning ... getting everything set up and running ...glad my boss is out of the country
  6. Well ... i still had it on usb 2 with hdmi/lightning connector. My USB1 has a thumbdrive ... plugged in another lightning cable and all works fine. Guess I need to reverse the USB connections on the back of the unit so I can have access to both thumbdrive and carplay at same time.
  7. ok ... forgive my ignorance ... been lurking here for info for a while since I got NEX 8000 earlier this year.... I've installed the firmware update, went to smartphone setup and turned on Carplay, tried the usb lightning connection (moving from hdmi/lightning adapter) and still don't see CarPlay showing up. It shows up in the setup menu .... what am I missing?
