  1. No, I have the BTB-200 and a by-passed D3 and everything works great. Ditto. I have the D3 with bypass, self installed, and the BTB-200 and an i-Pod and everything works well together. Just do the install yourself. If you get the wiring harness and a dash kit from Crutchfield or somewhere like that the install is super easy. I had my D3, BTB-200, i-Pod installed, all the cabling routed and hidden and car back together inside an hour. Hell, I think I sat at the kitchen counter connecting the wiring harness to the D3, and moving the Mute wire longer than I spent in the car doing the install
  2. Sounds like either your ground got messed up or your Mute wire isn't connected properly. Did you ground the park brake and mute wires together to the chassis or use the factory harness ground?
  3. Has anyone attempted to upgrade their microphone on the BTB-200? I was curious if it was possible to get some sort of upgraded mic, maybe one made for a computer or something, and use it in place of or in conjunction with the mic that comes with the kit. I know as long as it's a mini plug it should work, but I'm curious if you used a splitter would the two mic's interfere with each other and give you a bunch of reverb and feedback?
  4. Did this on Saturday and everything seems to work fine. Got the mute wire moved with no problem. Just for piece of mind's sake for me, I grounded the parking brake and mute wires together with the main ground for the D3, using the existing ground that's built into the wiring harness, and connected that to the factory harness. I know the ground is good because obviously the unit powers on, and I am not getting the parking brake warning, just wondering if anyone else has done their grounding this way or if they went straight to the chassis with the ground?
