Thats cool. I stopped messing with beta's last year. wonder how much longer till they roll that out?

are you running a beta iOS 8.3? where would those settings be? Is it on the iPhone or the radio? I have never seen any CarPlay settings on my iPhone (I'm running the current 8.2)

I have been able to play video from the MLB app's archive and also a spring training game through my HDMI using the lightning connector adapter.

covert_death let me know when you get the 6000 file Curious on the bluetooth (possible CarPlay and Android Auto), could there be a difference in the bluetooth chip thats causing the no audio problem? I am wondering if there were any hardware changes other than screen. Speaking of screens, I am curious if its possible to upgrade the screen to the newer screens, once parts come available.

I wanted a WRX but after driving a wrangler for 5 years the Crosstrek made more sense. The WRX is so low to the ground. Love my Crosstrek. Put a NEX-6000 in my 2014 Crosstrek. Next is a kicker hideaway.

probably, or it might show who's up next, batting average etc. kinda like game day maybe? I have an HDMI cable plugged into my 6000, so I can get games that way

I am wondering if pioneer will stop firmware updates on Gen 1 NEX? :/

Covert_Death have you noticed any advantages to running the updated software? Do you think this will work with all NEX. mine is a 6000.

Pjrm68 - agree. I found on an apple blog site (can't remember which one) the list of compatible apps, MLB was listed as coming soon. Maybe they will have it ready to roll out by opening day. I hope they will allow video (highly doubt it) but would be nice to watch a ball game on a long road trip.

I was wrong, I found the connection setting and the dimmer. just in a different spot than the video shows.

ok this is driving me nuts. I have a NEX-6000 and have several apps that are carplay compatible. but I only have a few icons showing up. the screen is full, but for example, MLB doesn't show up. is there away two get to a second screen. I tried swiping and got nada.

um, thats for the 7000. I do not think there is a connection setting for the 6000

Has anyone had any luck with MLB? the icon doesn't appear on the screen

rottie98, same issue here. noticed that last night ......this is kinda of a PIA. I like tagging songs. Last night I actually had to take a picture of my radio so I can remember the group that was being played on xmu

ok, I may have figured something out. I will try it tonight when I leave work. I think you have to touch the song information on the screen when you see the tagging icon. If your phone is content, it will sync it to you phone.

I just grounded the wire and did the software method: Step 1 ground parking brake wire Step 2 turn power on push main menu button (bottom center) Step 3 push AV icon (bottom center) Step 4 on AV icon screen push off button (towards bottom) Step 5 touch quadrant 4 (half inch in and half inch up from left lower corner of touch screen) hold your finger there for about 10-12 seconds. wa wa what? you have to sync your phone to a computer? who does that these days with iCloud. Why can't I just go into iTunes on my phone and see tags? It goes away once it has synced with your phone. I want a way to tag a song so I can go find it later. Kinda like shazam. I can't shazam, cause that will turn the music off and the phone takes over. disappointed with the tagging. On my old stand alone xm, I could at least hit a button and it will save it as a list.
