somehow I saw both answers coming. and to import, it isn't an easy fix if it doesn't work anymore.

These bastards (pioneer techs) undid my bypass which i use to keep my 2 year o;d Daughter at peace when we drive (Dora freak). they undid my my bypass and i am hating life. everything else works as it should, but even redoing the pins with the circuit writer pen does not do a damn thing...anyone have any clue as to what i should do?

Does Anyone who has not sent their unit to pioneer have a clear snapshot of their R197 pins? preferrably unmodified, but ok if not so long its clear. what i need to see if what exactly Pioneer did to my unit. my bypass does not work any more. i appreciate any and all help. i need to be able to keep my 2 year old daughter entertained with Dora and Shrek DVD's and its driving me up the wall.

and if modded, they will charge you or undo it. like mine. (they undid it)

i claim no expertise, but could your back light bulb be out? Flourescent isn't it? correct me if i am wrong, and you should still be able to see VERY faint picture from some angles...

i sent mine in, i got it back within a week, but my bypass is gone...... is that even legal? to undo my bypass when all i wanted was the flex cable? hmmmm, not sure i wanna go there

i had that issue after i sent my unit for the flex cable upgrade, i reset it and it never came back, but now my passenger (GF and baby. gotta keep them quiet somehow....) cannot see DVD's in motion..... SINCE the flex cable upgrade
