I bought a refurb n1 back in the day that came with a gex system for only 1k. It worked great.

There's no "route option" in my navi menu. Do I need an update or something? I did find an option AFTER I entered the address though. It asks for route route paths and then theres an options, I clicked on that. Seems kind of awkward and hard to find though. A lot of the stuff in my "information" tab are greyed out. Does that only work if I have a Gex system installed?

Ok I've had the Z2 installed for a few days now and I've been messing around with it. What I can't find is the route option to select from, fastest route, shortest route, avoid traffic. In the N2 that I had, there was an option to do that. I can't seem to find it in this one. Does it exist in the z2?

Darn, I was hoping to not have to do some rewiring. I'll let the technician know that and about this site. Thanks and I'll read the sticky again.

oh and by the way. I'm getting the Z2.

Ok guys, I know this has already been posted, but I read all those and it confused me. I don't know which one is the latest info or what not. I've read on some thread that you have to rewire the system for updates and bipasses and I don't know how to do that. I'm having a technician installt his for me. My system should be here tomorrow and I would like to know this in advance, because I will be using it immediately. Anyhow, I've clicked on the Pioneer site in the front page to see if theres an update, but link was broken for me. Is there the update a software I can just down

Hey New question guys. I finally got my truck today, still waiting on the nav system. I notice theres a volume control function on the steering wheel, if I install the avic, would I still be able to connect to the steering wheel function? Or will this option be useless afterwards?

oh I didn't realize that was a cd changer. But anyways, its probably a "hideaway" like you mentioned. The N1 and N2 came with it and the guy installed it for me under the seat, so it wasn't an extra. I think you needed or at least I think you do. He told me I could connect a ps2 or video game system to it, along with other monitors etc. Anyways, I don't intend to buy an extra if I don't need it.

You can connect stuff to it like other monitors, audio stuff and so on. Anyways, so I guess Z2 doesnt require it then. Glad to know.

what about the brain/reciever whatever you call it? I had mine underneath my passenger front seat, how would I connect that to the screen?

Damn, that looks nice! I didn't realize it would look so nice in this car. You guys rule, appreciate it. I already ordered the z2 on amazon for about 1200-1300. Good price yeah? I don't know how to install these things so I'm going to have a friend of a friend do it for me for about 80 bucks. Just wanted to make sure its possible without having to rip the whole dashboard out. lol

I had that problem. All I do now is put the song titles only and then the songs in the artist folder. if its a mixed cd, I just put the title first, then the artist after. I know I'm not answring your question, but thats how I work around it.

Well I recently got into a car accident, was rear ended by some blind woman and now my car is totalled. In it, I had an Avic N2 Nav system. I've been using the Pioneer system since Avic N1( I like this more than N2). Someone jacked it out of my truck and my insurance replaced it with an N2, which kinda sucked because of the satefy thing. Anyhow, I was at the dealership looking for a new truck. I'm planning to get the 07 Tacoma, but I looked inside and the dash board looked really synchronized with the interior design, so I'm not sure if you can install a Z2 in it or not. Does anyon
