im using the pioneer cable that came with the unit. i tried using an ipod USB cable but got no sound. tho, i forgot to change the HU from ipod to USB.... is that the trick?

is there a way to make my f90bt charge my headunit while its playing? sometimes it will charge it for a few minutes then the iPhone nag screen will pop up again and it will stop charging. leads me to my 2nd question, any way to use pandora link with the F series?

my friend gave me his f7010 to see if i could fix it for him and im a bit confused. its doing the boot loop that seems to be a common issue. i went into test mode to try and drop in my "my flash disk" from my F90 to see if that would fix it. but i cant delete the flash disk that is on the unit. according to Total Commander there are 68 files = 216gb (wtf?) in the flash disk folder that i cant delete. suggestions on what to do from here?

no, i have a f90 backup, now. but all the files i am using for the update are from the post i linked to in the first line of the original post. i do believe i am using all X info for the update. got my unit back to 3.0 and it will stay there until i update it with someone elses software i guess.

same issue when updating to 3.01 "start up in progress. please wait." does not go away. so looks like ill put 3.0 on for a final time and keep it there. thanks for all the help.

got the unit running 3.0 thank you! now, should i retry 3.01 or not... hmm.

well, your version of testmode worked and i got in. my flash disk is copying over now....

i found a f90bt backup on the forums so i have it now, but cant get into test mode to use it. off to try your version of test mode. thanks.

hey guys, I have a f90bt, it had hacks on it before when running 2.? last night i updated to 3.0 without issues. i then updated to 3.01. as a result of 3.01 i got the "system startup in progress. please wait." message that would not go away. so i thought i would reinstall 3.0 and try it all over again. well, after redoing 3.0 now i have nothing. my unit will show the splash screen and then shut off. (the buttons lights go out and the screen goes black) i have tried to reinstall 2.? and 3.0 and nothing will work. i can get to the blue screen to install CE but i cant get

worked fine with 3.0 no no so i need to reinstall 3.0 and do everything over? edit: tried to reinstall 3.0 and now i get the boot screen and then the black screen, cant get the unit to go into test mode.

Great, thank you! and one other mac comment, i had no problem doing the set up and everything via the mac, however once the update was done my mac would no longer recognize the SD card, it wouldnt even let me reformat the card. however, my nikon D60 would let me reformat the card... its odd, but it works.

should be normal, on the D3 the rear zone shows the source while the HU shows navi/settings/wtvr. i would assume the F series would work the same way...
