I installed the hack and it works as supposed to. But when i approach a red light camera, the distance to the camera is correct and is reduced as i get closer to the cam, but for some reason all of the cams around town show the speed limit as 66mph and it doesnt change. Did i do somhing wrong? I have to manaully enter the speed limit of each cam ? thanks for the reply..

before digging out the f90 from the car and trying to do it again, try the software hack, it is listed somwher on this site i belive. Mine was done with hardware bypass too, but will not play once the car was in motion so the mechanic did it wrong. I just installed the software hack and now it just works perfectly.

I know about changing the video input to IPOD , and as I said in my original post, when i hook up my friends ipod, it works great, but when i unhook it and put my new one , it just does not work. any other suggestions..?

I have a f90bt installed in my 06 f150, and i was using my friends 40gb ipod classic, with the ipod rca and usb cable connected to the back of the unit. His ipod audio and video works perfectly on my unit, but when i just got my brand new 120gb ipod classic and hooked it up to the unit, i can see the songs and vids on the f90bt screen but there is no sound. Also i can change from song to song but nothing plays. I tried pausing, fast forward, reversing the songs etc but nothing works, it just wont play. all i can do is just switch from song to song using the f90bt but nothing else. I hooke

I currently have a z2 installed in my 2006 f150. The unit also includes, bluetooth, backup camera, steering wheel controls, mic, xm, and ipod connection. In order to replace the z2 with f90bt(nothing wrong with z2, just gonna put in diff vehicle) how much stuff from the z2 can be reused with f90bt? i mean can i keep the steering wheel controls, backup camera etc same or will they be replaced too or need different wiring? I can open the dash and take the z2 out myself but thats all i know, is it as simple as just taking the wires from z2 and hooking it to the back of f90bt? Please let me kn

I have a z2 and i wanted to hookup my ipod using the ipod video cable to view videos from ipod on the z2 screen. But when i took out my z2 from the dash(it was installed by someone else last year), I cant see anywhere to hookup the Av cables. The connection on the back of z2 that says AV-BUS IN has no wires connected to it. I believe i need that cable to hookup the ipod's av cable in to it. What is the part number or the name of that cable? I searched for AV-bus in cable but cant find anything. Thanks

i dont know much, but i think i heard somewhere here says, that next year when Tv signals will go to all digital, the analog tuners now on sale wont work anymore. SO if u bought one, make sure its capable of picking digital signal.

Couple things to consider...first did you ever do a low level reset? It will lose your fm/am settings but nothing else. press the small pinhole button that is between the eject button and V button once and it will turn off and then start the z2 again and might solve it but not sure. Also i think u can turn off the z2(not entirely) but holding the AV button for few seconds.

I put a z2 in my 2006 f150 couple days ago. The truck has full insurance with $500 deductablle. Should i tell my insurance company that i put the z2 in my truck cause if it is stolen who will pay for my loss? Will the insurance company raise my rate a little bit or can i buy seprate insurance just for the z2 from another company? I seen ppl here talking about their z2 or d2 stolen from their cars and then get paid for it from insurance company so i was wondering if that happen to me, who should i notify? thanks

To get the steering wheel controls u have to buy a seprate module SWI-JACK or somthing like that will enable the steering wheel controls. I did the same thing on my 2006 f150 with z2, but then i got the remote for z2 that sticks to ur steering wheel or u can put it anywhere and that has much more options then volume up down and change stations. You should look at that as an option. Only cost me $20.

There is a great sale on screen protectors from invisbleshield and i wanna pick up a screen protector for my z2, cause it is only $7.48 and even includes free shiping. But they only have D3 listed and not the z2. Can anyone tell me whether the screen of these 2 units almost the same size or one is bigger then the other? thanks
