  1. Sorry to the slow response, I see you already did yours, yeah like you said downloading took pretty long (~1 hour for me) but uploading to the head unit is only 10 minutes.
  2. Update, I had to reinstall naviextra toolbox to get Q2 to show up and just successfully updated my unit.
  3. Thanks for the update. However it looks like I won't be able to get it for free, as it appears the latest map guarantee only provides the latest map at the time of your first GPS fix. Mine was installed on Jan 1st, at that time only 2015 Q1 maps are available, so that's the only thing I can get.
  4. I thought you have a 5000NEX and the map screw up only affect x100NEX series? Anyhow do you know when did they release the Q1 2015 maps? I have until early February to update maps and wondering if there is any hope that they may drop another update in the next six weeks.
  5. Thanks for the reply, I did my update on the 5000NEX and everything went well.
  6. LOL they must be busy around new year time. Anyway I couldn't wait so I went ahead and did the update, everything went super smoothly, got both FW and BT driver updated. My grounded parking brake didn't cause any problem. A more experienced friend told me to keep the engine on throughout the process and that's the only thing "special" I did...
  7. Silly me, I didn't realize you have to have an audio source to be able to access those settings, once I got my phone connected and playing all those grayed out options became available.
  8. Anyone who has done this bypass have successfully updated to firmware 1.11 yet? Really don't want to risk bricking my unit.
  9. How did it go for you? I have a 5000NEX with parking brake wire grounded and did the bypass by pressing lower left corner 15 seconds until "set on" comes up. I'm on a very old firmware and really need this update, but it's not something worth bricking the unit for.
  10. Hi, long time lurker finally joined after getting my 5000NEX installed. Everything works except when I went to adjust ASL setting and discovered it's grayed out. I got my VSS cable connected correctly, as I can see the vehicle speed pulse going up and down when the car is in motion. What's causing the ASL setting to be unavailable? Any help is much appreciated.
