  1. With my S7 connected in MTP USB mode to NEX 4100 in Android Auto I can use Spotify, Pandora, Google Music, RP radio, and Amazon Prime, all of them works perfectly fine with the heat unit control, didn't need to mess with the phone manually.
  2. I used the mic that came with my Denon HT receiver, it is the same mic for car audio Audyssey too, so I use it for this NEX 4100 and works just fine.
  3. The NEX support NTFS, formatting SDXC cards in NTFS should not be a problem at all, being a part time photographer I have several SDXC cards have been rewritten hundreds of times for photography purpose and camcorder over the last few years without any corruption or ill effect. If your SDXC card died it's most likely due to defects, which could also happen to CF card, USB flash drive, or any other portable storage devices.
  4. I too used the Denon Audyssey mic that came with my HT receiver to Auto EQ my 4100NEX, definitely brought up the mid and sound stage, imaging is improved too. You still can fine tune it further with the 13 bands EQ afterward if there's certain frequency range seems off to your ears.
  5. installed my new 4100NEX and it failed to eject due to the dash kit, replaced it with new Metra kit and it ejected fine now. Remove the head unit out of the bracket and try it.
  6. My 4100NEX still running on 1.03 firmware, everything works fine as is, unless there's some significant performance improvement otherwise i refused to update 1.05. LOL
  7. turn off the xover from your amp and use the head unit xover, low pass at 80hz try 12~18dB slope. make sure the speaker level for the sub is set to desirable level. You can also bump up 50~80hz via the EQ (ensure you have HPF set for your mid).
  8. I had the same reception problem until i tapped onto the factory orange wire next to the antenna cables (one big and one small) to the 4100NEX remote blue/white cable, this will trigger and power on the antenna amplifier hidden at the rear quarter panel.
