I still cant get mine to pair automatically, and when I tried to transfer the contacts like you said my "transfer contacts" button on the D3 screen isnt highlighted so I cant press it... I just got this phone and Im already getting pissed at it. Off topic- does yours freeze up for like 5 minutes when you try to take a video sometimes??? Also does it take longer than usual sometimes for the screen to flip when you turn it from portrait view to landscape?

I have a BB storm and I cant get mine to automatically pair with my D3 when I turn my truck on like with my last verizon phone. Ive got all the settings right I think-- what did you have to do???

I have on 03 silverado with the bose system. You will need a mounting kit and harness and door chime adapter to do it right. And you will probably have to cut out a little bit of plastic inside the opening at the rear bottom for it to slide in all the way.

Is the problem with the unit itself or the map DVD??? I know they just came out with the new updated map DVDs right? Maybe if we keep complaining enough Pioneer will send us some new maps or something. Ive noticed how much it sucks too, I only use nav when Im going a short distance in a town I dont know cause long trips are always off. Doesnt matter if im going north/south or south/north...

I hooked mine up behind the headlight switch but I dont remember what color the wire was. I have an 03 silverado

It just started this past weekend, ive never had any problems with it before- When I get in it connects automatically like always, but a couple minutes later while driving it will disconnect by itself, then a couple minutes later it connects again. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I dont get it

Thats what I figured. I never get any traffic info in nav mode either, thats probly just cause I dont drive in big cities often

I didnt know you could do that. I bought it from a company that works on ipods, obviously they suck though. Where do I get one of them from apple?

I have on 03 silvy too. The VSS wire is the green with white stripe behind your instrument cluster. My auto dimmer didnt work either so I had to tap into a wire over at the connector where the headlight switch is. I forget which wire though- I wanna say it was brown but I think there was 2 brown ones. I had to cut a little bit of plastic inside the dash near the bottom cause the bottom of the D3 was hitting it.

I got one on ebay for like $65 I think- I have an extra one thats exactly the same too if anyone wants it... he sent me 2. Its color and its got night vision but I put it so close to my license plate lights that it glares at night. I know Im an idiot but thats the only place I could do it.
