I still cant get mine to pair automatically, and when I tried to transfer the contacts like you said my "transfer contacts" button on the D3 screen isnt highlighted so I cant press it... I just got this phone and Im already getting pissed at it. Off topic- does yours freeze up for like 5 minutes when you try to take a video sometimes??? Also does it take longer than usual sometimes for the screen to flip when you turn it from portrait view to landscape?

I have a BB storm and I cant get mine to automatically pair with my D3 when I turn my truck on like with my last verizon phone. Ive got all the settings right I think-- what did you have to do???

I have on 03 silverado with the bose system. You will need a mounting kit and harness and door chime adapter to do it right. And you will probably have to cut out a little bit of plastic inside the opening at the rear bottom for it to slide in all the way.

Is the problem with the unit itself or the map DVD??? I know they just came out with the new updated map DVDs right? Maybe if we keep complaining enough Pioneer will send us some new maps or something. Ive noticed how much it sucks too, I only use nav when Im going a short distance in a town I dont know cause long trips are always off. Doesnt matter if im going north/south or south/north...

It just started this past weekend, ive never had any problems with it before- When I get in it connects automatically like always, but a couple minutes later while driving it will disconnect by itself, then a couple minutes later it connects again. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I dont get it

Thats what I figured. I never get any traffic info in nav mode either, thats probly just cause I dont drive in big cities often

I have on 03 silvy too. The VSS wire is the green with white stripe behind your instrument cluster. My auto dimmer didnt work either so I had to tap into a wire over at the connector where the headlight switch is. I forget which wire though- I wanna say it was brown but I think there was 2 brown ones. I had to cut a little bit of plastic inside the dash near the bottom cause the bottom of the D3 was hitting it.

I got one on ebay for like $65 I think- I have an extra one thats exactly the same too if anyone wants it... he sent me 2. Its color and its got night vision but I put it so close to my license plate lights that it glares at night. I know Im an idiot but thats the only place I could do it. damn I shoulda thought of that. Im sure theres plenty of nice stolen ipods for cheap at pawn shops around here. My dumb ass bought an old one with the click wheel on ebay and it didnt work. I sent it back and got another one that didnt work. Now Im sending it back- hopefully 3rd times a charm. You wouldnt want to sell one of yours would ya???

I noticed that with my old factory head unit certain stations would show the song titles when playing, but when I listen to the radio on my D3 they dont come up. Is that how everyones is? Its no big deal cause I barely listen to the radio- I was just wondering...

Heres some I made:

I dont see how you can "fake" a vss signal with a relay, that doesnt make any sense. It uses a pulse signal on newer cars. I dont even know if that car uses an electronic vss. If you can get the car on a lift look at the rear of the tranny near the output shaft and try to find a little connector with one or 2 wires coming out, thats the vss. If it has a big thick hard wire coming out its a mechanical vss and you wont be able to hook it up. You dont really need it anyway

after I finally figured out how to get my phonebook names to transfer I put my most popular ones in there. When people call me it comes up with their name and number sometimes, and sometimes it shows the number but not the name. I usually use my phone to choose the name and call them, then talk through the bluetooth, but when I do that is says "no info" or something and doesnt show the name or number. It might have something to do with the phone theyre using, or how strong the signal is. Im trying to figure it out too???

Im gonna try and find a power wire in the back so I dont have to run another wire all the way up front

ok I went out to the truck and turned the camera setting to on cause it was on off from the factory. It works now but do I still need to switch it to 12v ignition incase I want to see behind me while Im driving??? Will having power going to it all the time hurt anything?

Ok thats what I was wondering. So there is a way to turn on the input for it through the D3 itself? I have the owners manual but I couldnt find the installation manual, and my computers screwed up so I cant download it. THanks though

I wired up my backup camera today, finally, and it doesnt work. I cant find my installation manual for my D3 so that probably has a lot to do with it. Heres what I did: camera is mounted on the back bumper, power to camera is hooked up to the 12v wire thats hot when backup lights are on (so it gets power only when im in reverse), camera is grounded to frame, video cable is ran up to the unit and plugged into "rear camera input", and the purple wire for +12v reverse gear signal is hooked up to a wire that I know gets 12v when I put it in reverse. I tested everything and I dont know why it
