The Z is awesome, BUT i sold it cause i was so SICK and Tired of burning 10,000,000,000,000 fucking CD's everytime i wanted to put my music from my computer onto the Hard drive. There is the option for the IPOD, but im not an IPOD person. OS i sold it and bought the F90BT because its has the SD card, The USB Port for a flash drive and Built in Bluetooth.

So im looking trying to decide which SD card and which USB jump drive to get. What works for you, and what size did you get?

Yea its the positive wire that leads into the reverse light on the back of the car.

I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM.... I feel for you i hated that fucking issue. There is Nothing i knew to do except find the latest software updates and eventually i just decided to sell my z series GPS and get a F90BT. Im sorry.

Your Positive power, Negative power and your video cable need to be hooked up to get the camera to work... Make sure the reverse wire from the back of the unit is tapped into the reverse wire on your car. I like to tap it into the reverse lights on the back of the car.

i would say probably not. The hardware needed to support that and run it, just isn't there. Sorry

Good question no one has really elaborated. I think you just switch the mute wire and ground the parking brake and your golden.

that's a chance you have to accept. Otherwise pay to have it done. polus the installer has insurance

HAHA, I'm not a soldering type of guy, but yes if you back there soldering, then just switch that mute wire and ground the brake and you will be fine. No worries

Crawl before you walk-- BINGO. I know tearing a dash apart is hard.. Just take it slow, dont pry anything that shouldn't be pryed and put down some cloth or something to protect the dash and moldings. other then that look around for photos and other people that have the same car or call the dealer

No you wont short it out, take the ground off the battery and just start looking through the wires. I was afraid too and i dove into it and it went smoothly with a few small bump's that i figured out. Its worth a try and just keep a friend or someone who knows what there doing near by or even on here to help with small bumps

id say do the hardware bypass, and ground the parking brake. Then that will fix the problem, if you happen to have more problems then do the .ini bypass and you'll definitely not have any problems

OR......... save your self the money and do it yourself. you'll gain a lot of knowledge about the unit, your car and what your doing.

will a f700bt background work on a f90bt? if not where can i fidn the f90 backgrounds

Just a tip for you. A picture is worth a thousand words. So if you can take a photo or few of the location and wire . its alot more helpful.
