Tweeters were a direct swap and went in the corner sail grille covers by the window mirrors. You can see the wires running up to them.

Here's a few more of Jimmy's install. Kudos again, the sound is great!

^Real sound is what I got. The Boston Acoustics GT-42 was a great pick matched with the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 fronts and the JL VR690-CXi's. Just for reference, the rear sides were disconnected and there is more than enough sound in the cabin with fronts and rears. Actually, it's amazing sound. Here's some of the pics.

Everything is fully functional with the exception of exporting my phone book but I think that is an issue with the Blackberry 8700 unit. I have noticed that since the install that I now get an eratic temperature reading on my dash. It only happens occasionally and there is no issue with my coolant or oil level. I know the vehicle dynamics monitors g force and speed but has anyone else noticed an affect on their temp read out after a D3 install? Thanks

I'm posting primarily for those thinking about installing a D3 in a 03/04 G35 Coupe and also to give kudos to Jimmy at Xclusive Autosound for the great install. The D3 has the functionality I was looking for and met my expectations. The unit was a bargain at $500. Here are some pictures of the before, during and after. I was able to find a forum member on G35Driver that had a DD finisher that already had the dual climate controller attached. ^ How was the fit of the trim ring using the JDM finisher? Did you use the ring that came with the HU or fabricate your own? I've heard a lot of negative comments on the fitment although your looks pretty clean and flush in the pictures. Thanks
