I belive the problem is thr hacked ezrider and TMC. You can have Bluetooth or TMC but not both together. I wanted to look into tis more but need an origional europe map that supprts TMC and a valid licence then I can do some more experiments with the original ezrider. If someone can help with maps and licence for ver 3 then I may be able to acheive something. I have my Aus unit now workng perfectly with 8.3 maps but have had to make changes in the device settings to disable TMC because I want my bluetooth.

There are no software mods built into my data.zip. You will have to do that yourself or do the hardware mod. More than likely that is your problem. Thanks dpburst. I fixed it and it was the parking brake lead. I have another question for you. After installing the unit and all, I noticed that I no longer have the option to change the mute settings for when the navigation kicks in ie change the unit to go from full mute, to att, to disable in the "AV settings" sections. Does someone have a european map that supports TMC and a legit license? Least then I can check bluetooth with a legit ezrider and see if I have the same problems, if I do then it's not ez. I do not want all the maps just the smallest possible one that supports TMC.

Well I took a step backwards and installed my old ver 2 files on the flash disk, but installed ezrider ver 3 and maps etc. Maps work fine TMC works fine Bluetooth not found but does not crash. From what I can see Tel.exe looks to igo eg. ezrider for the bluetooth connection settings etc. Why is this such a nightmare???? Is the hacked ezrider not suitable for our units. Is anyone else having issues with TMC and bluetooth. Who hacked ezrider? Can thy give me some insight?

Lots of patience, a very messy windows desktop, a very organised SD card and a lot of walking in and outside the house. I'm really thinking of ripping the unit out and bringing it inside. What I really want is a way too plug an sd card into the 900 and have direct read write access at the same time via USB from the desktop computer. If that makes sense. So a USB to Male SD card? It would make the process so much quicker.

No, we are all listening really! Have you tried reading though the F900BT service manual. It was downloadable from this site somewhere and might help you find out why TMC is crashing or how the parts interact. Just an idea. I never had this issue with ver 2, but great idea and if someone has the manual I would be willing to look at it. Looking inside ezrider I can see that it wants to or tries to interact with the bluetooth drivers. I can live without TMC but I hate it when something does not work to it's full potential. I would love to try a legit EZrider with legit license with TMC but there is no Ver 3 for Australia and it looks like it wont be supported as sensis maps are only compatible with ver 2. Does anyone else have a view on this subject.

Can anyone with European unit that uses TMC and uses a hacked ezrider 3 check if bluetooth and tmc are working at the same time. Or if someone with a legit ezrider replace it with the hacked version and see if they both work together. Pretty much talking to myself in this thread, but it's good note keeping for myself. Changed TMC to use different com port than 4. Same issue occurs if TMC is enabled tel.exe crashes. I might sit down and disect ezrider 3 and see what happens.

No, Sorry I don't. I never downloaded it at all. I don't think we will see any version 3 for at least anothr 12 months as V15 maps use ezrider 2. From what I understand Sensis maps do not support Lane pictures. My best option yet is to have everything working except TMC until I can spend some time on ezrider.

I think the problem lies with the hacked ezrider.exe. For now I will use bluetooth with no tcm. I will look further into reversing ezrider.

Ok. Have figured out Tel.exe crashes if TMC is enabled and scanning at the same time. Can have either Bluetooth or TMC but not both together. Will look into it further later tonight. It will be an issue with the ports that are being used. Does anyone know if bluetooth use different ports between US and EW models?

OK. will do a write up and post the flash disk. But first I have another issue, bluetooth stopped working. I will do a fresh install and try to resolve this issue and do a write up on the way. Stay tuned as it may take me a couple of days. I want my bluetooth fixed first.

Have test TMC. Only just got reception up the backyard in Newcastle. The funny thing is we dont have TMC up here but there were 2 local incidents anyway. All seems to e working except for TTS. Voices, just need to get some version 3 and see if they work, and fix the overlap on distance to finish.

I can now confirm that the Australian navteq maps show the sign post for metro motorways with firmware 3. It beats having to try and look at the silly lane arrows. I cannot confirm if TMC works as I only did a simulation. It does appear to scan for the transmitter though. Now just need to try and figure out the voices as the Australian one will not work. If anyone has Australian voices for IGO 8.3 can they please point me in the right direction. Version 8 voices do not appear to work. Can someone look at the distance to destination and tell me where to make changes in the data.

Did you use the US 3.0 update or the EW one? A guide would be great when you get it running just the way you want it. My 2.0 is working okay but I wonder if some of the quirks I'm putting up with have been solved by updates. The maps are so far behind it's unreal, and Pioneer replied to my email saying that the "new maps" to be released at the end of this month will be Whereis 15dot1 which is nearly a year old anyway. I have just updatedmy unit to Firmware version 3. It seems Australia is always left behind so I bit the bullet and installed the update for the 910 on my 900. I nearly have everything working and have navetek maps I think that are from 4th quarter last year which I think support the signposts with ezirider 3, I will test this when I go to Sydney one of these days. The only thing to finalize is getting the Australian voices working as I'm stuck with a US voice which is actually very very good and clear, I think I'm happier with it instead. I think the issue lies in the fact that running "Mainmenu" creates a directory called my flash disk on the root of the emulator. Usually our software is located here. Maybe if we could rename the storage card to "My Flash Disk". I have been unsucsessful in this so far. If the emulator could have a huge amount of memory then we could just copy everything to this new directory. Keep on playing.
