  2. No Problem.... If you need anything else just let me know, Im not as well versed as some of the guys around here, but I am pretty good with the Dodges, Ive got two of them (2008 and a 1990) and have an '03 and '06 so any questions just let me know. And btw if you have the factory Sirius and want to keep it let me the install is also easy, you can reuse the factory antenna and tap in the power and ground at the factory reciever location.
  3. For the mount kit, Metra and American International both make a good quality kit. The Metra is a two piece, the AI is a one piece but the HU is kind of recessed. I prefer the 1 peice design but, after putting in the AI I swtiched back to the Metra cause I didnt like the recessed look of the AI. As far as interfaces there are many on the market, but I used the PAC (www.pac-audio.com , you will need the c2r-chy), It was super simple to install and gives you everything you need right at the harness, and allows for intergration of steering wheel audio controls (if you have them) with no splic
  4. Thats right, beings I speak French, well Cajun French (the kind yall dont understand) I agree, yalls French will be better than the others... but remember now, this a predominately U.S. forum and over here we speak English. If we were posting over in your forum or in your country yall would be complaining about our shitty French....
  5. How long after installing the D3 did it start eating batteries, and how much time between the two that it drained down. If it was a while after you had the D3 installed then Id say alternator.... I know an '06 is fairly new to have stuff going wrong but it has happened before. Start with the installer, if everything checks out my next stop would be the dealer if you still have warranty, or a parts house if you dont.
  6. Well the bluetooth and xm tuner go on a B+ (constant power supply), to retain your phone paring and xm presets repectively, but the draw on them is so low that anytime you run you vehicle the battery drain is recharged, (its really a nominal drain on the battery). The only way I could see either of those having any effect would be if you left your car parked for a really long time without starting it. Do you have any other accessories, like a radar detector or something that draws power when the ignition switch is off, if so that may be the problem. Of course it always could be that t
  7. The interface is needed so that the D3 can turn on the factory JBL amplifier, without it you have to rewire the whole vehicle. The drained battery could be something like an accessory was wired to B+ (constant power) instead of a switched ingnition wire and causing a slow drain. Do you have any thing else installed other than the D3?
  8. I havent seen the Scosche mount for the Rams yet. I had originally installed my D3 in my '08 with a Metra kit. Metra makes some of the best products on the market but I just switched to the American International kit and find its one piece design has a much cleaner look than the two piece Metra. IMO the best interface is the P.A.C. (Pacific Accessory Connection www.pac-audio.com)
  9. Jeez..... Now I feel like an ass.... I should have searched a little longer.... Two minutes after the post and I find this.... http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13987
  10. Ok If this was already addressed I do apologize but I did search and didnt find it. On my D3 the XM channel logos used to show on the display but now the line where they were is blank. Did I inadvertantly screw that up or could it be some other problem.
  11. Ok, I have had XM for over two years now, have always loved it and will not be letting go anytime soon. However, just purchasing a new truck that came with a year free of Sirius I decided that I spend enough time in my truck to get em both. Now I will agree that XM has handsdown a WAY better interface on the D3, but I was completely blown away by the sound quality of Sirius. I mean its like night and day... I always thought XM sounded good, and compared to terrestrial radio it does, but IMO Sirius has the superior sound quality. Anyone else notice this, or is it just me.
  12. According to the Pioneer website the iPod must be used for full control.
  13. I just love ambiguous answers
  14. Well get this, just went to make sure that the West disc was working....nope, and I burned it in the exact same way as the East, go figure. It even said that the write process was sucessful, but when I load it into the HU it gives a read error. Ill try a different type of disc, right now im using HP.... maybe that is the problem. East disc works fine.
  15. Success!!!! Ok, using DVD Decrypter and burning at 1x speed I was able to burn the East disc and it works fine in the HU. Thanks to all....
  16. Ive tried on both my puter (Dell) and my bosses puter (HP) (and they both btw have DVD DL write drives) and both do the same thing. Gonna play some more, there may be something simple that im missing. Thanks for all the help.
  17. Nope, Same thing, Using Alcohol 120 when the progress gets to 50.4% it just fails, no explanation nothing. Had the write speed set at 1x, the lowest possible. Gonna try my last disk on hand with DVD Decrypter, if that dont work I guess its off to flea bay.
  18. Trying a new session now, hopefully will work, Thanks in advance.
  19. Ive toasted 4 dvds so far trying to make a backup of my D3's disc. Im not looking to profit or anything, just looking to save the originals. Ive tried Nero, Roxio, and Alcohol 120, No Dice... I keep getting an error half way through the burn process. Any Clues? Oh yeah, Tried DVD Decrypter also, no luck with that one either.
  20. Search thru here... http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5753 Not sure of the exact steps for a BB...
  21. Make sure that the rear speaker output is set to full range and not subwoofer output.
  22. Talent man... Great BG's Not a chance you could work one of these up for a D3 with a Dodge Ram Emblem...
  23. Hey Cntry, I was just at Best Buy picking up a Sirius Tuner for my D3 and inquired as to if they had the PAC interface. The installer there came out to talk to me and told me that all he had was an axxess harness that didnt provide vss and such. He inquired as to what I was wanting to do and I told him that I was looking to hook up the D3 properly with the vss, ill, b/u and such. He almost took offense and told me that I would be crazy to hook up the illumination. When asked why he told me that it was almost a garantee to blow all of the gauges in my truck and that it was infact a Best Bu
