  1. Well I have some good news! I did some testing today and can confirm that the 32gb SD cards work great! I tried a Sandisk Extreme and an Extreme Pro and they both work well. As for the software I tried both the AVIC4500only file and a copy of the OEM SD card. Both seem to actually work really well but the AVIC4500only was version 1.02 of the firmware and the OEM SD card was version 1.06. I don't have steering wheel controls so I couldn't test those unfortunately. The headunit seems faster with the new SD cards and it is also way less buggy.   2. So I just burned the AVIC4500only file to my 32gb SD card. I didn't really feel like opening the unit so I just dremeled a hole in it. Not pretty but now I have easy access to the SD card. Wish me luck guys, I really hope this works. I'm still going to try to get the original W4500NEX software somehow eventually but hopfully this will bring my headunit back to life for now.
  3. I am totally fed up with my AVH-W4500NEX. I've been reading these fourms and watching videos for 5 hours trying to figure out what to do. It's 4 am right now so I'm stuck waiting for Target to open but when they do I am going to purchase a SanDisk Ultra PLUS 32GB SD card and try to use Rufus to burn the AVIC4500only file to the card. Hopefully that works but if not I will buy the new Pioneer card from PacParts and make a copy of that on a nicer SD card like a lot of you guys have been doing. I will keep you guys updated with how things go. Also is there a newer or better version of the firmwar
