i know! other people's misfortune is so amusing isnt it?

So my car was broken into 2 days ago. I parked behind a hedge next to my school and they smashed my passenger window. Wrecked the dash and couldn't steal my D3, so they smashed the screen. The loser dropped a watch which I passed on to the RCMP, but I doubt they would do anything with it. Apparently, they tried to open the hood and disable my alarm, but since I parked so close to the bush, I don't think they were able to unhook the hood. Maybe pictures later, but I'm too lazy to transfer them from my camera. I'm looking for a different navigation system now. Possibly one that pops up inste

lol. power on/off. i hate the fact you can't truly turn it off... unless you turn the ignition off.

i've been wanting to get something like this too for my d3. have you tried it yet? what works and what doesnt?

My D3 neither came with a cage nor bracket. I'm pretty sure it's not stolen as I bought it from Best Buy.

That was the only time it ever took so long.

So I realized my alarm was malfunctioning. I went to Ralph's Audio and got them to fix it. The next day, I went downtown to run some errands. In the underground parking lot, I turned the ignition to accessory and changed the playlist for the iPod. Then I started my car and noticed there was no music playing. I looked at the D3 and realized it was still off. It remained off for at least 10-20 seconds. I started pressing buttons, but I think it came on by itself after. That was the first time I had this experience. Anyone else with a similar experience or know why this happened?

1x is always recommended. it doesn't take that long really, unless you're staring at the completion bar. surf the web, chat on im, listen to music.. time flies.

no pics? anyone else try this? my car was scouted once and now im a bit paranoid

so this affects the amp for my sub?

does this mean the d3 is more suited for people who amp their speakers? i replaced my speakers with low end boston acoustics when one of the stock blew. they were fine without amps when i had the alpine cd deck

bland, i know. i was going to add si underneath, but it looked out of place. if any of you got ideas, let me know and i'll make changes.

did you try ritek/fujifilm? make sure ur not using any memory/cpu intensive apps while burning at 1x speed. no need to try other speeds because if 1x doesn't work, others wouldnt
