  1. I just purchased the 4 yr warranty from squaretrade for my z140bh that I bought off Ebay new. My 920bt just crapped out on me last month and it's been over a year ($400 to fix), prior to that I had a D2 and was having problems with that one also after 2 yrs. I usually never get extended warranties but lately on Pioneer's stuff I feel they are worth it. $150 buys my piece of mind from the screen going black, the DVD not ejecting or the faceplate getting stuck in a weird position. I don't know about you but shelling out $1000 a year for a new stereo sounds absurd to me.
  2. Been having the same issues with my X920BT also and wasn't having any help here. So I asked around on my TBSS forums and got an answer almost instantly for my truck. I just tapped into an illumination wire on the rear wiper controls. Nice and easy since my wiper controls are right next to the stereo. You could probably do the same thing for a tahoe, yukon, etc. Here's a pic too:
  3. I got mine from Crutchfield and I paid $599 plus free shipping and that was for the D3X Package, which includes the bluetooth adapter and Ipod adapter. I did have to buy it from the Scratch and Dent Section but who cares, Crutchfield warranties all there stuff. Everything was still factory sealed, it looked like the person was trying to cash in on the rebate but it wouldn't work. The UPC was the only thing missing.
  4. I just used the Cyberlink Power2Go burning software that came with my Gateway FX laptop and it worked on the first try. No decrypting needed, just used DVD to DVD copy. I used the lowest speed setting and a Sony DL DVD+R.
  5. I have a 08' SS HHR and installed the D3 with bypass, a Metra GMOS-LAN-04 harness, & Pioneer 7 Speaker setup. I soldered up everything just fine and when I press the Onstar button, it comes on but the D3 turns off. Once Onstar is finished the D3 powers back up. Is this normal? I thought the radio just mutes and Onstar starts.
  6. The little metal clip broke off on my Mute wire so i had to use a pin drop of CA glue to hold the wire in place. I almost glued my fingers together, done that before, not fun, but it worked. The wire is now firmly in place. If you do this you must be very, very careful, to not clog up the pinhole.
