I'm not sure if its a hoax but i bought the Avic F90bt off amazon from a store called compu-tech. They seemed reputable looking at all the customer reviews. Now I have to find somewhere to sell my Z3; I guess i can check to make sure everything works well now with the 2.0 firmware update and decide what I'll do next.

This looks like a hybrid of F series and Z series. Is this next for US or can we access this unit and install US mapping?

Use the CD Sr-1 its the best...you can answer your calls from your steering wheel.

Now that there has been significant upgrades, should I stay with my Z1 (upgrade to Z3) or buy F90bt...I like the IR remote feature and the 7 inch double din, but hate having to look for a long time for a song (scrolling interface is slow in Z3). What do you think?

I too purchased the Z1 for 600 off ebay and bought the upgraded drive from garretmooney on this site for 130 and its been great ever since. It works really well.

Hey bro, I am having the same problem with my wife's car. For some odd reason, the phone works (BT) but not the audio for mp3 from the phone.

I purchased both the f900bt and the f700bt, both of which did not work properly and efficiently after the firmware updates. Sent them both back and bought a Z1 upgraded to Z3(with garrat's drives) and a D3 for my wife's car. I cant wait until a hybrid of both Z and F series meet...until then, I am completely satisfied with my Z series that I control my bluetooth and ipod from my steering wheel using my ir remote.

I was hoping I didnt have to buy my wife a new phone because her LG Rumor isnt pairing perfectly...the contacts transfer, but not the sound from the calls or any indication on the screen.

I installed the Z2 hard drive in the Z1 and it gave me a "this hard drive can not be used" error message. Does this mean that the Z2 hard drive from a previous Z2 unit I used to own is locked and will not work with the Z1 I have now because the Z2 drive is locked? Is it possible that the drive can be damaged...what are your thoughts.?

when I did a search of authorized online dealers for pioneer electronics, both names came up. When I spoke to a rep at Pioneer, they said that the shipment (i.e. the product Id #) has to be traced back to an authorized dealer along with an invoice. Well, the product is coming from 6ave.com which is another online authorized dealer. Therefore, am I in error to think that they will honor the manufactures warranty from pioneer? For some reason, mine didnt work before or after the update and I have the correct Ipod USB wiring (50 bucks) and a 5.5gen 30 gb ipod. Is there a feature I need to update on the ipod?

I also have the 30gb 5.5 gen classic Ipod..can this be apart of the problem, even though I am able to play music flawlessly. Oh, it also says after the VR update completes, "the VR catalogue is unable to process voice ...blah blah blah"

I have only been playing with the f900bt (sending back this week for the 700) a little tonight after the update and I cant seem to get the voice recognition to work for IPOD. I can change to different artist, or particular playlist. I can say, "Play playlist hip hop." and it will respond "playing ALL playlist"/ Or I can say play genre Acoustic Worship, and it will say "playing all genres." I have the right ipod cable but I am using the mic I had for my old Z2 (this shouldnt matter because I am able to access other av operations via voice command) --right? Or am I missing something here? T

I wanted to see if anyone can help. I installed the f900bt in my wife's car and paired up the LG Rumor. The phone book transferred, but for some odd reason it wont allow me to make calls out or receive calls from the unit. It has the (music headphones bluetooth) symbol as if I can only transfer music and not anything else. I paired my phone (Sprint Mogul 6800) and was able to make calls, transfer info, etc.. I have paired both ways (from the unit to the phone and vice versa). is there something I am missing or doing wrongly. The fact that I have been able to pair my phone and have it fully fun

I just purchased the f700bt from 6ave (authorized pioneer dealer) through amazon.com for $601 shipped. If you buy from 6ave.com directly, it will cost about $800....

My f900bt keeps rebooting after saying that it has done a fatal error in application when I try to access the maps withing one to two minutes of boot time. I was going to install the firmware update but was just going to send it back because I didnt see this in the list of "fixes" of the update. Is this faulty wiring, not grounded properly, or a firmware issue that is simply not covered in this batch of the updates. Thank you in advance for any help.

Every time I try to access the maps once it boots up, it says "fatal error" and reboots the system again. I'm not sure what this means...anyone has any suggestions.

I wonder if the firmware update improves this fatal error because I am getting it in my wife's car (F900bt)

I have used both in my car and I like the Z series better because of the 7 inch screen and the 3d landmarks...accentuates coolness. The D3 has a better look and quicker Ipod interface in my opinion. For my car, the double din 7 inch looks much better. The bluetooth capability is pretty much the same.

I recently purchased a Z1 for my wife's car and I wanted to upgrade it to a Z2 or Z3. I currently have a Z2 hard drive from my previous Z2 but needed to know could I just reinsert this Z2 drive into my wife's Z1 without any problems. Can I also have garretmooney place a Z3 image on the Z2 drive then insert it in the unit. Will I need to unlock the unit in order to insert these drives into the Z1 I just purchased. Thank you for any help.
