  1. Not sure if this was already posted, but... Samsung SGN-i320N or the Blackjack as it's now known. Contact transfer: Not known Calling: Fully functional
  2. For those who can't get the update to work, even after following all the steps: That was me. I tried everything - different media, different burn speeds, different programs (Nero and ISO Burner)... nothing seemed to work. I ended up getting the update to work by doing a combination of things... so I'm not sure which of the things I did actually solved the problem. 1) I burned the data to a DVD-R 2) I used Roxio 3) I used a different computer (different brand of CD/DVD writer) So, one or the combination of those solved my problem. I have a September 2006 unit, and the 2-wi
  3. Well, still no luck. Tried Nero, followed Ducatiboy's instructions on the settings and burned the image to a CD-R. When I put the CD into the Z1, it spins while its "checking disc" and then just gives me the "CD-ROM Inserted" message. Doesn't matter if I start in AV or Map, or any other screen. I've tried rebooting with the update disc in as well to no avail. Hmm, I hate not being able to figure this out. My next try will be with a DVD-R but I still can't figure out where the problem might be.
  4. ^Thanks guys. I was using the freeware of the ISO burner, so I'm going to give Nero a try. Hopefully that solves my problems. I'll post up if I can or can't get it. Cheers.
  5. ^^Hmmm, I tried that as well since I read that I needed to be on Map to make it go. If I hit Map, it just goes to the Map "view" options. Could you take a quick look at my post above with the files and folders that I see when I first load the disc? Everything there?
  6. It's worth a try, but that shouldn't be the problem since the other posts are of guys using just a CD-R. Anyway, maybe I've got something wrong from the beginning. These are the main headings on my burned cd: CONF (folder) RENEWAL (folder) SDATA (folder) and 0_option.dat DISCINFO.txt DISKID.dat In the SDATA folder, all the file extensions were .000 until I changed them... not sure if I was suppposed to. It seems like there isn't a file amongst the main headings that the Z1 would recognize as the initiation of an upgrade disc.... Maybe I'm just screwing up somewhere.
  7. For some reason, I can't get my disc to load onto my Z1. I downloaded the ISO --> CD freeware from the link Ducatiboy listed. After using the freeware program to burn a CD-R, I put it in the Z1, on the map screen (like others have noted) and nothing. All it says is "CD-Rom Inserted." Obviously I'm missing something here.... I even took the disc I burned and copied it into a folder on my hard drive. I noticed that a lot of the file extensions were xxx.000 (the xxx being .dll or .exe or .wav for some examples). For an experiment, I removed all the .000 extensions and burned a disc
  8. The new VW and Audi's are all CAN-enabled. It's a higher level of ECU-->car interface. I installed a OEM navi unit into my A3 and because it was CAN enabled, I didn't need to tap the speed sensor wire. I don't believe it even had one, to be honest. What you do need to do is go to navplus.us (the Audi version) and read up there on what to do for aftermarket Nav units into MY06/07 VW or Audi's. There is an adapter or a CAN switch that will give your unit all the info it needs.
