you can switch between 2d and 3d by pressing the icon right below the compass Yes, but in 2D maps I cannot select between Heading or North. If I am wrong, great because I really like 2D maps better and don't want the map to always show North view and not have the map rotate based on the direction I am heading when I am in 2D map view. I know that 3D orients to your heading, but that doesn't help in 2D map view.

But I thought during the video tutorial by Jason and Pioneer's manual you can no longer select your orientation as Heading or North one 2D map view....On current navi units you push the Compass button to change the orientation.

Or how about basic features that should be there. Like 2D orientation selection by pushing on compass. This is retarded that they removed it on the F series. Not everyone wants 3D maps.

How can Pioneer remove orientation selection on 2D maps? I don't understand this. I use 2D over 3D as I think 1. It looks better and 2. It shows more detail further out. Why would they do this? It is almost a deal breaker for me.
