I originally had a Kenwood 5120 but this was much nicer. At first it was ok but after the update it was better and now all the recent hacks makes this unit lovely. All i could want more now is a bigger screen or a way to make the screen more readable in direct sunlight then it would be perfect. The users on this board is what makes this unit great cause they are so talented at finding fixes and flaws. Plus at the price you can get this now, it cant really be beat.

I did this also. It also works if you just create the art folder inside the tomtom folder provided by Leet. My question to you is, how did you get the voices on yours? Which folder did you save them to? I tried the root Voices folder and the Avic My Documents folder. Also how do you get the menu on the side instead of the bottom?

I downloaded your script and copied your code into my navigate file, the first four lines i think. then went to avic and got a warning say button_volume.bmp could not be found and then it exited and my map and destinations buttons no longer worked. edit: ok i just realized i didnt copy the icons over. BorisM i'm using your most recent navigate ui file, where should i insert this code?

Anyone figured out how to get POI database for TomTom? Can we use TomTom as a full fledged gps unit like the TomTom One and add speedcams, voices, POI's and such by installing on SD? ...Maybe we should start a TomTom thread so the Launcher doesnt get lost in the hopes and dreams of tomtom and garmin possibilities.

well have you tried upgrading your firmware again with the pioneer update? that may fix your issue.

Yes, it was showing the correct system time. hmm did it pop up right away or did you do anything to make it have right time? I wonder if mine isnt working cause i didnt do the sys file.

BorisM i just downloaded your script file on page 2. Is this the latest and greatest set? the one i had before was on page 3 which is a much smaller file. You said you would post the most recent scripts to keep track of changes, i guess you meant most recent individual scripts not the entire package . Will the icons in this set overide the ones i used from Branded.zip in the other thread? I also noticed 'night' ini files, what do those do? This is a big package, i just drop the whole folder into Igo directory?

while in tomtom how do I get to avic menu? I tried the 'exit app' button but nothing happens. for igo I couldn't get in avic menu either without taking out sd and letting system reboot. ... if menu brings up launcher how do we type a destination in avic?

borism, I can't seem to find the option to add a speedcam. I found the turn on setting and I see them on my map but when im driving and press the info - save as button, speedcam isn't there. am I doing something wrong?

I realized what the avic problem was...I wasn't waiting long enough for it to load. so once it finished how do we get to main avic menu? when I press menu the launcher comes up.

I also am having a problem. igo launches but avic doesn't. also when I press a/v it launches but doesn't close. everytime I press menu it goes between launcher and a/v. on launcher, pressing avic brings me back to a/v. av ran really sluggish. I think it may be my fault cause I was trying to run tomtom with locked map. igo ran fine when it was all loaded though but avic wouldn't launch. is this why I need the sys file? also no one said system would be ok if sd was removed if I upload that file.

Original meaning Factory default Avic maps wont work if i upload this file but dont boot with SD card in? Also for TOmTom there are no files in sounds or map settings folders, do we need to copy tomtom files into those?

will the sys.txt file do any harm if SD card is not present?

two more questions: When you say load maps into igo8, are you referrng to the other thread where we should copy avic files onto SD in the 25mb patched igo8 folder? Also does BT commands still work while in the other gps programs? For instance; button > call home, or button > change audio source to ipod or button > play artist milli vanilli

Ok good job, critical question...how big of an SD card do i need for TomTom7 and iGo8 to be stored? Also is Garmin a possibility? Lastly do POIs work with these other gps programs, are they loading from Avic POIs?
