  1. viewtopic.php?f=33&t=23011&p=157580&hilit=voice+dialing#p157580 Is anyone having this problem with the 3.0 update? Whenever I use the voice command, the system craps out on me. The iPod control works with deliberate pronunciation, but with the phone I can say "Call Natalie" and it will say "Now showing all artists". NOTHING will get the phone part to work. I can say "call 555 1234" and it will say "now dialing 7781109." Literally, completely wrong. Any ideas? It worked just fine before the 3.0 update last week. I'm running the blackberry 8900, btw.
  2. Will this fix let the street names be displayed at 1000ft?
  3. So this came out on the 6th this week: July 6, 2009 Dear Valued Pioneer Customer: We would like to inform you of the availability of a NEW free firmware update (version 3.0101; released in July 2009) for the AVIC-X Series in-dash navigation systems (AVIC-X910BT and AVIC-X710BT). In addition, this firmware update applies only to models sold in the United States. This firmware update (version 3.0101) contains important performance improvements relating to the Map display, Track Log data, “Delete All User Data†feature, iPod Alphabetical Search, and enhanced reliability during
  4. I have had two different head units, two ipods and two different cables. I have had the problem several times with each cable and head unit. You just have to wiggle the cord and play with it until it works. I am just getting the apple cable. This unit, while great in concept, has completely killed Pioneer's reputation for me because the quality is not there.
  5. So, I just found a new one and installed it today. I'll just sell the other one on Ebay.
  6. Does anyone know if the touch panel is soldered at all to the LCD? If not, I could do it myself. Pioneer wants a minimum of $200, but it could go much higher. $200 is the flat rate for any type of repair, so parts will be extra.
  7. Hello everyone. It started as a small crack under the pause/play button on the iPod screen, but it has spread and the touch panel no longer works. I ordered a new one from pioneer ($46, surprisingly) and it will ship at the end of the month. How difficult is it to replace the panel? The LCD is working just fine, I only need to replace the very top layer of the panel. Thanks for all of the advice. I would like to take it to a service center, but I'm super short on the dinero.
  8. Mine makes noise sometimes, too. It makes a soft clicking sound, even on pause. "click click click click........click click click click...click click click click." I noticed that the connection was a little loose and I wiggled it, and it seemed to make it better. That might be why I was getting a failed connection warning sporradically. I am going to replace the cable with a new one this weekend and see if it makes it any better.
  9. So, I got it mainly figured out. If you have ever hit the shuffle all button, your songs will continuously play in alphabetical order. If you are in an album, you have to let it start playing the song, change the shuffle mode to "off", then hit the next button to play the next song, then change the shuffle mode to "album" and then the song you are playing will be in the order on the album in which it is located. You can then choose another album and it will play in the album's order. Unfortunately when you choose another album, although the songs are in the order of the album, you always s
  10. This is really starting to tick me off. I have CDs that are continuous mixes, some audio books, comedy routines and soundtracks that only make sense when played in album order. I am beginning to hate this piece of crap. I want my plain and simple D3 back ASAP.
  11. So, I figured it out with the help of a Pioneer rep. If you get the illegal operation screen with the phone, delete the device from your cell phone and the head unit itself. Restart the unit and try to connect it like you originally did. This fixed the bluetooth problems. Still not happy with how the rest of the things are going.
  12. My unit works just fine, even with voice dialing... except that in the last two days, every time that I try to connect my phone I get a "Fatal Application Error, Program:Tel, Error Code: C00000000Ex or something..." and the unit continuously reboots unit I shut my phone off. It reboots one last time and then works fine with the audio.
