  1. Hi! Can you make an F-150 FX4 background in green (to match dash lights) with the Ford logo and FX4 logo in the bottom right corner for an AVH-P4200DVD? I like the backgrounds that come with the head unit, but I just want to add the Ford Logo and the FX4 logo. Thanks!
  2. so...I tried the assigning of contact groups...didn't change anything. Still doesn't work. I now have an iPod...haven't figured out how to get contacts on the iPod. I'll figure that out. Problem is, how do I get the contacts off of the iPod onto the Avic D3?
  3. hmmm...so I guess I have to buy a damn iPod now...hehe.
  4. Ummmm...iPod? Don't have one, and what's the iPod got to do with my phone. I'm lost...
  5. So, I now have moved to the LG Shine 8700, and I can get a stable Bluetooth connection. Everything works fine, but when I go to transfer my phonebook to the Avic D3/BTB-200 setup, the Bluetooth connection shuts down. When I try to "send name card" from my cell phone, it just sits in the "sending card" screen for minutes upon minutes, but never gets the phonebook entry actually sent. Am I not waiting long enough, or am I out of luck for getting ANY phonebook entries into my Avic D3? Any advice??
  6. Okay, so I performed a little test. I took my friend's $0 Samsung phone out to my car and tried the Bluetooth functionality. Flawless. I must say it's gotta be my new phone then, right? That's the only thing it could be, right?
  7. So, I have just purchased the new Samsung r610 slider phone, and had the BTB-200 Bluetooth module already installed. I try to pair the two, and the phone detects the Pioneer unit...the Pioneer unit detects the phone. However, when I try to pair the two, the phone is perpetually in the "pairing" message screen. The Pioneer unit displays "connection error". Twice, I received a "connected" message on the headunit, but the phone still said "pairing". As soon as I slid the phone shut again, the connection was gone. The second time I got "connected" to appear, it lost connection in about twent
  8. I just bought the Samsung r610 slider phone yesterday, and had the BTB200 installed already. Both the phone and the headunit/BT module find each other, but cannot seem to pair. The headunit (D3) gives me "connection error", and then will connect the odd time, but not hold the connection. The phone never gives me a successful pairing message and just continually gives me the "pairing" screen. The odd time, it will display a message of "the key didn't return during pairing". Any help, please?!?!?
  9. You know, I've been working on this bypass for a couple days. I'm quite seasoned in electronics and installs, and have checked all connections three times over. Everything is done as discussed here, but I STILL get that damn park brake message and I can't watch movies in motion. I belive my Avic is a Feb. 2008 model...did they beat the hack in the newer models, or what??
  10. Figured it out. Must have been some drunk dillweed at the Metra factory one day. The yellow wire coming from the Metra adapter ('Constant +12V') was actually matching with the ignition source on the VW harness, and the red wire on the Metra adapter ('Ignition') was matching up wit the constant 12V on the VW factory harness. A quick snip of the wires and some new solder, and I'm in business. Now, if I could only get that pesky video bypass to work...arghhhh....
  11. So...Avic works well and everything is doing what it should; however, when I turn the car off for more than 30-45 seconds, everything resets. I mean, the illumination is cycling, the radio presets are gone, the navi is all reset, everything is back to initial startup! Any ideas what is going on? The funny thing is, it remembered my 'home' setting, but nothing else! Shouldn't it retain everything via the constant +12V supply??? All my wiring is soldered, and trust me, I've been soldering for years...there's no way anything came undone.
