I live in Canada Toronto area, I wouldn't buy the unit from the local Bestbuy since they are bunch of rip off (2250 CND for Z1, good job selling those at MSRP and claiming lowest price). I went on CF and see they restrict their shipping within US. Does anyone know where in US will do shipment to Canada? or if there is Canada dealer that doesn't rip price off would work too. Thx

This probably won't be an issue, i've heard Z1 users having diseaster that the smart routing isn't working as good. But again im not 100% sure since i don't own that unit. Also, if you always travel to that route, why do you need the Nav system to point you where to go anyways?

what about the frame trim for the double din deck? that the installer will do it or i have to get something to let him cut and trim?

What do i need for prepare to give to the mechanic to install for me? I will be getting the following: Avic-D3 Blue Tooth (BTD-200 or something like that) Ipod Integrate cable probably back up camera, and maybe the 6 cd changer. What do i need? any wireharness or faceplate or anything? please give me some tip cuz im kinda clueless on installing this btw my car has no BOSE system (im glad, to save the harzard)

question, how does back up camera work if i drive a manual transmission car? supposely for automatic, the avic will switch to camera mode when going to reverse gear, how is it going to recognize that if i drive manual car?

btw canada is selling Z1 for full MSRP price, i think like 2250 to 2500 CAD, that's crazy

That's why i was decided to buy online in US region, have it ship to my friend's house in US, then ask him to bring it up to me when he comes to toronto, that way u saving urself big buck man

cuz i was thinking if it's possible, to add dvd changer so i put 2 navi dvd and some music mp3 DVD, wouldn't that equals or almost to a Z1 with HDD?

also D3 plays DivX video and mp3, which is 1 down side of Z1. Does anyone know for detail of the map wise, how big difference is it on both system? Also i've looked at the 6 disc/12 disc cd changer, wonder why they don't put a DVD changer version so i can put in 2 Navi disc in there =/

guys when i put my car Mercedes C320 Coupe in crutchfield.com, it saids D3 does not competible with my car, does that mean im stuck?

i see D3 support extension of Bluetooth as well, but does D3 has Mic for that? From what i see, D3 + 6 disc changer seems to be better than Z1, and i got the same dilama as the thread starter, i was saving up for Z1, but find out about D3 in this forum. So what are the "difference" from the 2 avic? other than HDD issue.

Avic Z1 won't work with car that has bose audio? i heard if the car has bose then it makes the installation very difficult to do, anyone know?

I've read through the forum and find out that the Z1 has no security against theft, i did think about putting a fake face plate, or maybe a slider with a photo of my old HU and just slice it down when i leave the car (like a garage door, but a photo on top).
