  1. This started happening randomly a few months after I bought it, and I tried to upgrade to 2.0 but a File check Error occurs before it starts upgrading. I haven't called Pioneer yet, but I'm assuming they're going to ask me to send it in. I don't have a clean back up, that's what I am asking for, because this problem started happening randomly without me doing any hacks or modifications to it. If anyone has a clean My Flash Disk back up, please let me know! PS: I just went to my car to see if i could cut those random files and paste them to my SD, and most of them arent even delet
  2. Alright, so I've said it plenty of times before, but I'll restate my problem to get people caught up: MY f700bt started rebooting repeatedly and would not start, so I decided to testmode it and get inside to see what's wrong with my headunit. Now I click on My Flash Disk and I see APL and APL2 folders, and a bunch of files with symbols and unreadable characters. There is no DATA folder or anything, and when I look at the properties of My Flash Disk, there is about 16 KB of space left and I can't even make a new folder for data because it gives me an error saying there isnt enough room on
  3. Okay, I did a search for this but didnt come up with anything. Is there any place that all the people looking for stock data.zip files can go online to find the file to reset their head units?? It seems odd that all these people request/need a stock data.zip file to reset their head units but there is no place online to simply download the file, or no one here has gone out of their way to do this for the community. And apparently the file is the same across all three models, so it would seem that it would be even easier to find this file. Can anyone help us out? Edit: B
  4. I'm sure no one has an answer for me but I figured I'd ask anyways: For those who have bricked units that died without any hacking or anything, I know there were a few of us that had common problems where the unit would restart constantly, does this update revive our dead headunits?
  5. I could also use the f700bt back up files. If someones nice enough to help a lot of us with problems we have, we would be very appreciate!
  6. What? No I didn't do any mods or hacking, I was asking if since the ability to hack and mod is there, then there has got to be a way to reformat the head unit back to factory settings, if the reset button isnt working.
  7. Hey guys, There have been couple issues that people have been coming across, including me concerning the software on the F700bt. I had my F700bt for a month or so, and it worked fine with the update. Then it started having problems with restarting and random splash screens, until it just began dying after the splash screen. Now when I turn on the car, the f700 goes to spalsh screen for about 15 seconds, then the screen goes blank. I tried to reinstall the update, so I put in the SD card and it started updating, then stopped at 78% or so and froze, saying something like "error: size
  8. Yea mine is having this problem without me hacking it or anything, it just died. And to make matters even better, I got mine brand new off ebay, just as im sure a lot of people did, so I'm unable to return it so I'm really banking off the fact that Pioneer actually has a fix for this that I can apply, because I've already sent them an email and they never responded. Cool.
  9. Anyone find and info on this problem yet? My F700bt just died a few days ago, where the boot up screen comes up, then just dies afterwards. Seems a couple people have been having this problem. Is sending in to Pioneer the only solution right now?
  10. quick question: i have two harnesses, and a power cable that came with the unit. one harness plugs into my car, and the other unit plugs into the head unit, and the two harnesses connect in the middle. where do i cut all the cables to reconnect? i am assuming i cut the harness that goes from the head unit to the car harness, then reconnect to the power cable? which basically means im cutting off the black connector to the harness and replacing it with the power cable from the unit. or do i cut the harness that connects to the car, then reconnect to the power cable, essentially m
