  1. I had the whine since install, but could only hear it when not using audio. Now I have no music, so hence the whine is driving me crazy. This is the last straw for me. This Pioneer sucks, period. My dealer is going to send it back. Kenwood here I come. Good luck to the rest of you.
  2. What the hell. After 2 months of frustration, sluggish screen, BT problems, and update which removed my TTS (yes i followed the directions and tried to re-install from TTS file). Yesterday the screen went blank just after splash screen came up. Cannot get it to boot. Now all I am left with is my alternator whine. Any suggestions?
  3. Has anyone noticed that there are zipped files inside the firmware? Do these have to be unzipped manually or does the firmware do it automatically? There are zipped TTS files in the mitacap folder, perhaps my unit did not access them??
  4. She's at my place now buddy, its over. In fact, she told me last night in a robotic scratchy voice "Lemonhead, you're a 10 and norcon was only a 7 comma 5." LOL, Story of my life, dude.
  5. Updated last night. Samantha has left the building. She's not there.
  6. To the remote caller, I sound like I have duct tape over my mouth. Ya, moved the mic around too. And before anyone chimes in, I do not have the wire looped together inside the dash. Either it is a PAS mic, or the BT simply does not work as it should. I am going to wait to see if the FW update helps. Aint gonna pay extra for a better mic. That is pure BS. If it dont work, back to the dealer it goes......
  7. mine is on the head liner next to the windshield, behind rearview mirror, dirvers side. Maybe I'll try moving it forward of the rearview (but that gets it closer to the sunroof). Anyhow, could also be the phone, since some folks say they have no issues.
  8. I hope that firmware fixes the BT issues, cause if not, I'm ditchin the unit. It was a major selling point for me. Talking on phone while driving already cost me $ in NJ!
  9. Only way to turn off annoying beep tone is to lower master volume completely, which also turns off navigation voice. 2. Unresponsive or slow response to touch commands. 3. Complete screen freeze req
