  1. The directions you followed should've given you the product key. So my advice to you is call 1-866-658-7032...which is the number to activate MSN direct. Hopefully there you will be able to get some answers.
  2. Here's a splash I created using photos I took at a wedding. I wanted to try something different than manufacturer emblems. Hope you guys like it.
  3. Great points and I agree. I just didn't want the OP to be discouraged from buying the F900BT thinking it was greatly inferior to the F90BT.
  4. I don't think there's anything "top of the line" about the F90BT versus the F900BT. The only thing it has over the F900BT is a 2 year warranty, the I-pod cable is included, and has 4volt pre-outs. http://pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Prod ... 00BT?tab=B http://pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Prod ... 90BT?tab=B
  5. Don't call and get stuck with a newbie. Just go into the Best Buy and ask one of the associates in the car audio department if they have it. Best Buys in my area (Virginia) have the new Avic's but don't have them out on the sales floor yet since they are awaiting the installation of the demo displays. So do what i did and go get one before the demo is set up and they sell out
  6. x2 The answer to your question is also located inside the installation manual. So if you choose to do it your self, I suggest you take a look at it. Good luck.
  7. I'm gonna have to disagree. I tried using your 1920x1150 approach and it worked great when previewing the splash screen through my USB, it showed full scale on the screen with high resolution. However, after saving it and turning the car off and on to see the results it only showed a smaller version leaving a large black border around the image. After realizing 1920x1150 was a disappointment, I tried 800x600. Now the results were reversed. During preview through the USB the image was only a small square in the middle. But after saving and turning the car on and off, the splash screen was i
  8. Looks great man. I bet you'll enjoy testing it out once your F90BT gets installed.
  9. I agree with a lot of posters in here about the remote start. Just engage the remote start while the key is in the ignition, so you can take your keys out and set the alarm while you run into the convenient store. Eliminates having to start the engine again and waiting for the navi to boot.

    Boot Time

Even my D1 booted up faster than my F900BT. But with all the new features I'm more than happy to deal with a little longer boot time.
  11. I've received a few text messages while driving so far, and none have been read to me. If you figure out a way to activate that feature please share
  12. That's odd. I followed the small instruction booklet that came with the F900BT and it uploaded EVERY number with out issue. It did take about 2 or 3 minutes though. I'm glad you got it figured out though.
