  1. Wow, where have I been... You ditched your Z? I can't say I haven't thought about it when amidst certain feature "frustrations" lately either, but really you got rid of it huh? I'm not too up to speed on the different "engines" driving the nav interface on these different series of units (F, X, U, Z, etc.), but is there any possibility that the Z can have that "better" interface after one of these said upgrades? I've really been pretty ticked off with the look, feel and usability of the navi on this unit so far. Makes it even worse when I'm fumbling through it and my wife says... "I c
  2. Yup. Looks like they finally decided to take the brain damage out of the equation. Nice to see amongst Pioneer's recent decisions...
  3. Real quick, I'm having a hard time figuring out if a D3 will fit in a 01 Tahoe. My gut says yes, but I don't want to "confirm" for a friend without confirming for myself. Anyone know? I can't find it on crutchfield or Pioneer to use the fit guide Thanks, JR
  4. A store on the other side of Denver has about 20, but so far, only 1 person has paid. I'm not going to drive all the way over there for 1 card. Unless a few more of the 10-15 people that wanted these pay up, I won't be getting any. Sorry J.J but if no one else wants one, I'll just send you your money back.
  5. Hence no Macbook Pro yet right? Nah, just happens that the the moment I passed up a good deal (ahem), the ones I was looking for haven't showed back up! Burn...
  6. Well consumers it is much easier then for businesses. Ask me how i know this I bought mine from ebay as well and pretty happy with it so far. +1, I got mine off ebay too, but I knew the seller and it was brand new, not used. I'm usually okay buying brand new items off ebay, but used stuff is just a roll of the dice. Has to be a damn good deal for me to take that risk with used stuff. But since you already have it, I'd just run with it.
  7. One person? Really folks? I must have gotten 15 emails about interested parties and now that I've put this together again... 1 person? I'm going as soon as 6pm tonight, so if you want one, please act now. Thanks, JR
  8. My gut says just cuts your loses, buy the missing pieces and use it. Credit Card disputes are NEVER as easy as they make them out to be.
  9. PS - if for ANY reason I can't get the cards (they aren't at the stores like the people on the phone told me, etc.) you'll all have your funds instantly refunded via Paypal. No waiting, no fees. I'll just ship it all back to you all.
  10. Alrighty Folks, To those that have emailed me (which I will respond to individually as well), I've found between 12-15 cards available between 3 best Buys in our area. If you can still find them in your area, you are welcome to get them yourself. I am simply, once again, offering this to others that cannot find them locally. I will be venturing out to get what I can get either Friday night or Saturday. At that time, I will be purchasing cards for any/all who have paid in advance. So again, if you are interested, just send justin.retzlaff@gmail.com $150 thru paypal and by weekends end,
  11. There has recently been a renewed interest expressed in the MSN Lifetime Subscription cards that have been coming and going in my local area. Likely because some of us have recently gotten our refund checks and it's now proven that you can get it virtually for free... for now. I haven't checked lately, but as of the middle of December there apparently was renewed stock of them at all the local Best Buy's. I know this because of a long drawn out debacle I dealt with in getting a refund on the 6 cards I tried to return. In trying to make a long, painful story short, I'll be willing to gr

If you are interested in me finding you a card, please go to the Z-Series thread and post up. 14. Even though I said I wouldn't, I could go back there and see if they have any back on the shelf. It'll cost you the non-active member price though. Let me know if you are interested and I'll go check. JR
  15. Back to relevant matters... I got my check yesterday for $128.88. $0.71 less than I was told, but I'll forgive that. And to clarify for those that do not wish to read a thread before commenting on the last couple posts... This is the refund I received after initially calling MSN about the truncation of their "lifetime" subscription to end 1/1/12. If you have an activated lifetime subscription, you can call and ask for a refund and they will refund you the amount prorated from between when you activated and 1/1/12, versus when you canceled and 1/1/12. I had used 3 days of service
  16. Good idea. Tell you what... read the thread and it will all makes sense. Theoretically.
  17. Did you really ask the same question is 2 different threads without even reading them? Nice.
  18. Allow me to answer that question with another question... Why would you post on a thread before reading it first?
  19. Thanks for all the feedback folks, but you're all speaking a level above me. Can you tell me exactly what I need to buy (from Radio Shack I preseume) and how to "install" it? Ever so much thanks, JR
  20. LAST CALL: I've got 5 cards left and I'm leaving for BB to return them right now. Takes about 30 minutes to get there. I'll check my Paypal account for payments before I walk up to the counter, but after that they are gone and I will not be going back to see if they kep them or whatever. Cheers, JR
  21. First I'd like to say that I bought one card from you and the transaction was great from beginning to end. Thanks again. But what do you mean by your above bolded statement? You don not have access to MSN because you cancelled? Also, I don't know why they would credit you the full amount and still give you 2 years for free if they are selling the 1 year memberships for, I believe, $79 each year. What excuse did you give them to cancel? Also, can you confirm your MSN still works and you received your refund. What I meant was that I do not have access to anymore cards. What I have is
  22. What city do you live in? If you don't mind me asking...
  23. If you have checked all your physical connections and are sure they are solid, personally my next step would be to call Pioneer and have them help you troubleshoot the issue. Not sure what could be the issue as it's a pretty simple module to plug in and there doesn't seem to be to much that could go wrong. Might be a faulty MSN Direct module.
