My 3.0 upgrade is about to arrive tomorrow, should I restore my F700 back to a backup I had? I've used a couple of mods from this site, just wondering if the 3.0 upgrade will just overwrite it all or if I should do a restore.

FWIW, that's as opposed to people who are saying "I'll never pay for the upgrade, and want to know where to get it for free" That 2nd group of folks doesn't "own" a copy of 3.0. Me, I prefer waiting for the Pioneer upgrade with its official install process so I don't mess anything up. I Agree, I decided im going to wait as well.

Ok, nevermind. Just threw that in there because I noticed others were saying it in other threads... let me put it this way.... I'VE BEEN CHARGED FOR AN UPDATE THAT I WILL RECIEVE IN THE FUTURE.

Hi everyone, I have the F700 and purchased the rights to the 3.0 update. Is there a thread that details freshly installing the 3.0 update ? I had IDT's mod's on my F700 but I'd like to start with a clean unit for 3.0, could someone point me in a direction to do this ?

Thanks for the tip, maybe I will take the Pioneers out of the front and build a box for them to put in the bed of my truck for tailgating and what not I have a '05 Chevy Colorado Extended Cab, my bit of frustration is i've put some money into the sound system already (with the help of Crutchfield) and my wife's Pontiac Vibe stock system still blows it away!

Hello everyone, I have a general question regarding audio output of the F Series. I have the F700 running (4) Pioneer TS-A1672R (just 6 1/2" door speakers). I also recently added 2 Infinity Kappa 10.9 Tweeters. Im just not really pleased with my audio system, im using stock speaker cable to the harness on my F700 with no aftermarket amp, is the output of the F700 amp enough for a decent sound? Im not looking for anything to vibrate my windows just nice crisp clear sound. When Im running my Ipod I can defiantly hear alot of white noise coming out of my tweeters as well as a CD b

Great job IDT. I installed your mods onto my F700 I had 1 question, would it be possible to "actually" shut off the screen display with your power button? rather then just display black? Even that black display is bright at night. I will sometimes shut off the screen when we are traveling and someone is trying to sleep in my truck. Do you think that could be done easily?

Hey everyone, I just want to double check before I do this mod. I have a completely stock F700 running FW 2.0. Can I just use the All-In-One that is provided and voila? mod should work? I understand backing up my current setup and using testmode...

Do you have the latest firmware? I had that problem until I updated the firmware, havent had a problem since.

Is there any known issues with the Ipod Touch and the F700? Also, am I right to assume that I can view movies on my F700 that would come from the Ipod Touch?

Yes but keep in mind, if you get a Sirius tuner you cant expect to get all of the XM channels, the same applies for buying an XM tuner, you cant expect to get all of the Sirius channels.

I believe both XM and Sirius offer a "best of" add-on package you can purchase if you want. It includes a handful of their most popular channels.
