  1. When I turn on my car and consequently my audio system, I get a noise out of all 4 of my speakers. It sounds like an AM radio station that isn't coming in at all. Like its just "frequency" if that makes any sense. This noise does NOT get louder when you turn the volume up. If there is no music on, you can hear it pretty blatantly, but when you turn the volume up on the 700BT it goes away...or more like the music is louder than the noise so you can't hear it anymore. But it still concerned me because i didn't want to do any damage to my amp or speakers. To Figure out what
  2. Randomly the Navi voice, key beeps, and voice of people I am talking with on the phone on My Avic-F700BT only comes from the right speakers. However, regular music still plays through both left and right speakers. Playing music while I have navigation on, Music will play in both left and right side, the music will be interrupted by the navigation voice and ONLY come through the right side, then music will come back on through the left and right speakers. How can I fix this? I have looked through the settings and can't seem to find a setting to fix this. Also under Navi set
  3. Wow mine is doing the same thing. very annoying. I will try to install the update and see if that fixes it. How new is that update? I installed an update in september...
  4. Update fixed alot of things. Still things need to be fixed. I know i am repeating a few people. Navigation needs to tell you what side of the road the destination is on. Navigation needs to have the arrow always facing up and have the compass move. Less Frequent directions... Clock on the Map screen is VERY hard to read, and is too small on the ipod screen. An option on the touchscreen while you are on the phone through the speakers to change back to the headset. Problems: Hit or Miss with the ipod Voice commands. about 75% of the time I will say Play art
  5. ya i have the stupid PAC SWI-PS hooked up but i didnt get around to fully programming it. im gonna go ahead and say that is the problem.
  6. I try to turn the knob down and the unit brings the volume back up to max (62) right away. any ideas?
  7. ya i was looking at component sets that were in the 60 RMS range, only because eventually i will get an aftermarket external amp for them... i just cant afford the amp right now. The components will still sound better than stock speakers, even being underpowered correct? I actually figured out that my car (pontiac GTO) has a factory amp in the trunk, idk what its rms rating is, but i think i might be alright with that. but with this factory amp, i should still get 4 ohm speakers?
  8. Just received my 700BT, and i want to buy a set of component speakers. I am going to use the 700BT's internal amp of 22 watts x 4 What ohm speakers do i need to get? 2 ohm or 4 ohm? Would either one work fine?
  9. ya another reason i wanted to use the SD card instead of using the ipod was because i was hoping the F series would load faster but i guess not.
  10. I have a 30GB ipod, and to make a long story short, its a pain carrying it to and from my car everytime... I know the F-series has a very good ipod interface, with voice command. However, If i buy an 8GB SD card, and load Music and videos on to that... is the interface as good as the ipods? Can i use voice commands like "play artist Tiesto" with the Music on the SD card or is it just a general menu that can't be sorted at all, and i would have to manually go through 2000 files? I dont know too much about SD cards, so im not sure if they can be set up like an ipod is with play
