  1. Yes, that is the amp/power antenna turn on wire. Connect blue/white to blue/white. G35 is not a simple install for a rookie. Do you have the whole dash kit that replaces your climate controls etc? You're in for a dissapointment if you think a double DIN is a factory bolt in replacement without the kit.
  2. Cheap but effective way of setting levels. Buy yourself a Radioshack Mini Amplifier Speaker Cat. NO. 277-1008C Play a test tone CD at 1kz with the preamp out plugged into the hand held amp speaker. 1KHz is a good tone to use because its super easy to hear when it transitions from sine-wave to clipped. Set the volume barely audible on the Radio shack unit to make sure you don't clip the hand held's output. We are after input clip from the headunit. Turn up the volume on the Headunit until you hear the tone change to clipped. If you can go full volume without it clipped, great. Min
  3. Seriously, the preset buttons are that wide for a reason, so they can tag the station frequency. Other Pioneer Navs (AVIC-D2) do this. Otherwise, they could give us 9 square buttons in the same area that would be a lot easier to press while in motion than the height limited lines they have. Did someone forget to put that in the Requirements Document?
  4. Contacts now have the word home, work, and mobile attached to them. Great! Incoming calls from numbers in my contact list now have the name attached. Great! me, "Call John Smith at home" F700, "Please say the name or number to call" me, "Call John Smith at home" F700, "Calling 090" Tried 10 different combination of contacts, etc. No go. VR in IPOD mode works great.

  6. Can you access the keypad after call is connected. I didn't see away to do this in the previous version. Needed to navigate voicemail systems or dial extensions.
  7. Could be because I have all contacts entered with + codes so I can dial anyone no matter where in the world I am. +1 for US +41 for Switzerland, etc.
  8. I believe you, but for me and many others, voice recognition never, ever works on dialing out. I have to speak the numbers. Ipod VR works great. Bluetooth connects fine and transfers contacts. So lets try to figure out what's different. I have a US F700(new firmware) with Sirius and HD radio module. I have the hardwired bypass(move pin and ground) I have iPhone 3G running 2.1 My contacts are organized First Name, Last name I can't think of anything else relevant. Anyone else?
  9. try turning off the master volume, it's great, i can set a route an no longer have the prompts.... i love it! Are you kidding me? We want it to talk in use to promt us where to go. The complaint is that after you arrive at your destination it doens't clear itself and keeps telling you you've arrived.
  10. So when you transfer your phonebook over, does it not give each contact a new entry like this Joe Smith Joe Smith Joe Smith Instead of Joe Smith Home Mobile Work Does your voice recognition work for dialing? Can you say Dial Joe Smith If you can, then please tell us how that works for you.
  11. I typed www.86photovideo.com into the search engine and got nothing relevant, so what's your point? Anyway, it's a scam site, works like this. I placed an order online. The next morming I get an email that states I need to call them to confirm my order. I figure typical East Coast electronics seller bullshit trying to upsell me a warantee, accessories. I call and the sales guy tells me I need an SD card to make the unit work and just my luck they have a 1gig card to sell me for $129 instead of the normal $179 price. SD cards are like $10 now so I say, "No thank you, I already
