Just upgraged my d3 to the new 90 disks. The voice guidance setting for total radio mute/ 1/2 mute are gone. Now you can either mute guidance or not. Anyone else notice this?

Just to clarify, you are looking for the different map views after a destination is selected on the d3? The reason i ask is because you cannot go to different views ulless you have a route selected. If you are doing this right, you probally need to check the bypass, sounds like the wire may have come loose from the harness.

the reverse trigger wire on the d3 is what is to be hooked to the back up lights. When it gets a signal from the reverse lights it activates the d3 reverse mode. this does turn on the camera if the power is also taken from the back up lights. But if wired that way, the camera will only have power if in reverse. If you want to use the camera any other time, you have to give it power from a source that is always on in the cars run mode.

if you want to watch your camera while going down the road, you will have to wire the camera power source to an always on power source. I did that with my boyo and it works fine.

the antenna wire was mt first thought. I pulled it out and found it is a larger connector and i need the amp turn on wire unless there is another way to control the amp.

I used my mute wire for thr bypass on my d3. Now i need a spare wire to mute the volume when the back up sensor alert starts chirping. This is in a 06 expedition and is very hard to hear with radio on. Also if I go to the trouble to hook up the mute wire, will the factory mute signal actually trigger the mute? Trivial stuff,but the factory stereo did mute when sensor went off. The backup camera doesnt always show accurate distance. Any place i can get a spare wire without getting raped? Thanks

i think that is what im going to do when the new one gets here. I have mine under the dash in my expedition and it works fine, dont know why i didnt do it in the mountaineer. Could the rust be causing my problems?

I dont know if this is an antenna problem or system problem. I took a 1200 mi trip twice in the last 4 weeks. About 600 mi in, the system stopped tracking and all satellite icons went to gray. The antenna is outside on roof. I reset the system nothing changed. Then i cleared the hybrid status, did a reset, turned off the vehicle. Then when it was restarted everything came up after the hybrid 3d initalized. I took a look at the antenna and noticed it was beginning to leave a small rust stain on the magnet and the roof of the car. I then cleaned the stain and moved it down a few inches away form

Al-Eds didnt offer a rebate, just the price of 529 shipped. I think it was the best deal out there without risking being burnt on rebate promises.

Just installed the Boyo vtl420 in my 06 expedition. Very easy hookup, bolts to liecense plate frame. Had to drill a small hole behind the plate. took all of 20 minutes to install. Has a very clear picture.

spoke with the rep from sonnix last week, promised the rebate would be honored. somehow I just didnt believe it his price w/rebate was $479. Just didnt feel comfortable, so purchased from Al-Eds for $529.99.

I have heard that others are having trouble with the blank screen startup in cold weather. Mine started blank last night only 45 outside. After about five minutes I restarted the car and it came on. Last week on a 10 hour trip, my nav screen froze up. Had to do a reset. could this have anything to do with the custom screen disks? Haven't had any problems for 10 months, Any comments?
