  1. Not sure what you mean... Are you talking about watching video while the parking brake is off ?? The shop who installed me the Avic did this bypass for me... and this is still working. But maybe that's not what u meant... ?? Allright iaf_22 here's the nutshell: there are two types of bypasses, a hardwired and a software. The software is primary source of concern because of the questions with testmode's functionality. Hardwire fools the unit into thinking the parking brake is pulled. However, when you start moving, the gyros/GPS senses your moving and once you make it over 10mph, you

  3. Why ? Cause i wanted it! lol, maybe u wanted to know HOW i got the new version already... Well.. a friend of mine know somebody who knows somebody...
  4. Ok, i just checked it today : the answer is No... it doesn't pause the music (nor video) after answering a call. It just mute it.

  6. I'll try it this week. But I can already tell you that when giving Navigation guidance, the MP3 isn't paused, just muted... so i could GUESS that itt does mute also for incoming calls...
  7. TestMode 2.3 ?? What is it? I knew only 1 test mode. Point me out to TestMode 2.3 for a EU version, and i'll try it. Here you are: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=25329 Excellent news : Yes, this TestMode works with firmware 3.002

  10. I zoomed in to show you the maps are labelled 090428, that means : 28th April 2009.
  11. That's just name of the file, but i've zoomed in so u can see "090428"... that is 28th April 2009.
  12. Ah ok...well, i had to switch keyboard everytime to enter numbers... About the Bluetooth, it's HW100-SW300-RC3 (by memory ... i might be wrong). The phone interface is a bit better, but i haven't use it really yet. (and i never had problem with it before either). About the startuptime, no improvements noticed...
  13. Eurotuner29 you should really calm down. To all the people requesting me to upload the file (publicly or by pm) : 2 reasons i'm not providing it : 1) The friend who brang it to me took it back with him 2) There is no problem hacking with mods a unit we bought...we can forget about the warranty, but it's our problem. HERE it's something different. It's a major firmware update provided by Pioneer and it's gonna be SOLD by Pioneer. Releasing it for free online is a responsability and a crime i don't wanna mess with. Even though I understand and agree that Pioneer should give it for
  14. As prommised, the video is online : viewtopic.php?f=32&t=25326&p=171942#p171942
  15. FINALLY the product we expected it to be !!! improvements i've noticed: - MUCH faster menu navigation - no lag in video playback - ability to switch FM preset channels or jump to another mp3 folder by clicking the Steering control button (for those of u who have it). - No more cut off MP3 songs a few seconds before the end! - When entering house number, u have a keyboard of NUMBERS displaying now (much more logical!) - screen touch sounds less annoying Enjoy the video!
  16. As you can read on the first picture, the Maps are also updated. (1.0006 > 2.0002) Then the second SD is just a firmware update from 3.0 > 3.0003. It's a F900BT EU (and a EU update) so we (unfortunately) never had HD radio. That's only for US version.
  17. Tail24, thank you for pointing it out. Service mode was easy to access. But then i had to find what was my problem. Finally, i just kept my USER folder of the old firmware to keep my settings. Then the error did not appear anymore, but neither was the menu... So after doing a WinCE update (again with the 3.002 firmware, the one which block the test mode) I finally got it to work I still have an error when i try to access SYSTEM SETTINGS, probably cause i kept the old USER folder. But it's not a freeze crash, just a message. SO, this whold thing took me hours to figure out, it's al
  18. Yeah...for some reason (maybe because of all the mods from this forum i played with earlier ??) this error message appeared. : http://img43.imageshack.us/i/img4375o.jpg/ Here is what I did : update with SD 1 : pretty long, maybe 20 minutes or so... update with SD 2: : 5 minutes Then appeared the brand new Avic However, i was told to delete my user profile in the system settings before using it... so this is what i did (i regret!), and after a reboot, this error message appeared So i quicly played with the new firmware in my friend's car, here is my impression after pl
  19. you gotta take a pic to prove it... but interested to know whats changed! There you go... SD nr.1 : http://img43.imageshack.us/i/img4373.jpg/ SD nr.2 : http://img294.imageshack.us/i/img4374.jpg/
  20. I should have the 3.0 update installed on Tuesday on my F900BT EU. I know somebody who already has it, and i should see him on tuesday to get it too. Will let you know...
  21. Same here.... And it's like that since the beggining... Pioneer should put that in the bug fixes for a future firmware release (IF they still care about this product...Unfortunately im afraid they think their last firmware update was good enough...). When i bought the product, i wanted something that could play easily my MP3s, not something that would force me to buy an Ipod...
  22. Tahar, ton message est incompréhensible !!!!
  23. Great having Igo 8.3 on the device Thank u. As far as i remember, bluetooth never worked yet with leetcode mod. So it's normal to have a crash when trying it out. Leet, can we hope to not have to "launch Igo, then MENU, then DOWN then PIONEER", everytime we start the car ? Can't it be done automatically so that we have the avic with Igo ready without pressing any button each time we start up the car ? This shouldn't be too difficult, isn't it ??? Thanks a lot,
  24. Hi, I did exactly as written for the mods : TERMINATE ROUTE/POI SELECT MOD + MUTE GUIDANCE. However, the avic keeps rebooting. Those are the only 2 mods i've added to the original data.zip provided by pioneer... Any idea why it keeps rebooting ? Thanks for the help).
