  1. Even if you didnt notice it before, it was happening. This will always happen when you receive a call. Unfortunately it is not a setting.
  2. I am sure you all are familiar with the "ticking noise" you hear from your computer speakers or your TV when a nearby cell phone is about to ring or is receiving data? We have a customer that is complaining that ever since we installed her Z110BT she is getting this sound through her car speakers. She insists that it didnt do this with the factory VW radio. (2008 Touareg) We told her there is probably nothing we can do but she did not like this answer so I thought I'd take a shot to see if anyone knows of a possible solution. Is there anything that can be done? Is there something tha
  3. Test it out using a different phone. Do you have the same problems?
  4. Definitely an odd situation. Does it take you to a different place everytime or will it always take you to 21st and Washington? Specifically, what steps are you taking to enter your destination? The only thing I can think of is perhaps you already have a route set and you are just adding via points or stop overs to the current route. Make sure you go into the navi menu and verify that there is not a route currently planned. if the "Delete Route" or "Cancel Route" icon is lit up that means there is a route already planned. Delete that. I know this seems elementary but it is the
  5. I have seen this multiple times.... What you want to do is let the unit boot up completely. Once it has fully loaded try pressing the MAP or MENU buttons until you are finally able to reach the MAIN MENU. it may not work at first but keep trying and it should eventually let you get there. Then you want to go into SYSTEM SETTINGS and turn BACK CAMERA to off. or to ON then back to OFF. whichever works. This should let you use your unit but unfortunately there will still be some left over problems. Specifically. I believe that if you go to the LANGUAGE settings it will show the voice
  6. The contacts in my BB are First Last but that doesnt seem to make a difference for some reason. I have cleared contacts and tried 10 times. I have deleted and repaired the phone but for some reason its always transferring them as Last First unless I tell the BB to send address book. Then, it transfers everything twice. Once as Last First and then as First Last. I guess I am fine with it like this. My VR works and everything. I just have everyone in my contacts listed twice.
  7. What kind of a car is it? It sounds like it could be the amplifier for the factory sound system causing the extra noise. i am not an installer so i do not know the solution for it but this is something i have come across every now and then.
  8. When you go to transfer your contacts just hit "OK" on the screen that talks about business cards. what comes up after that? It should tranfer automatically. If that doesnt work try going into your phone's bluetooth menu and transfer the contacts manually. sometimes it will say "send address book" or "send vcard" or "send contact". if it asks you how you want to send, choose via bluetooth. it is also possible that your palm is not compatible with this function. what model phone do you have? for your other question, can they hear you at all or is it completely silent on their end? f
  9. First thing would be to set the parking brake. the parking brake has to be set in order to access these functions. if that doesnt make those options available THEN the answer is your parking brake is not connected properly.
  10. So after experimenting for a while I was able to find a partial solution. If i simply click on the Phonebook Transfer icon on the navi it will send the contacts Lastname Firstname even though my contacts are listed Firstname Lastname in my phone. If I go into my phone's bluetooth settings and select Pioneer Navi from the device list and then choose "Transfer Phonebook" on my blackberry it will say "Transferring Phonebook" and then after a few seconds it will say "Successful" however nothing changes on the Navi....UNTIL....until i click on the Phonbook Transfer icon on my navi again. Th
  11. Hopefully someone with more BB knowledge can help. I have a BB Curve 8330. My original Blackberry Curve 8330 transferred contacts by Firstname Last name which is the way I want it. But my phone got chewed up by a dog so I had to get a new one. The new one (also a BB Curve 8330) now transfers the contacts by Lastname Firstname even though I have the phonebook setup as Firstname Lastname in the Blackberry. I tried reversing it and re-transfer the contacts but they still show up as Lastname Firstname. Since nothing has changed with my navi I am assuming it is a setting somewhere in the bl
  12. do you need him to wipe for you too? http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... AudioVideo
  13. no experience with it but it does sound like the radio needs to be replaced. not much you can do about it.
  14. I'm not a technician so I am not 100% sure but the ABS light could be on because something may have been upplugged while the vehicle was on. certain things cannot be unplugged unless the vehicle is off or battery is disconnected. this happens a lot with airbag lights. May have to go to the dealer to have that reset. As for the parking brake light it sounds like you need to check the wiring you did down there. it seems like you have grounded the main parking brake wire inadvertantly.
  15. the Z110BT actually has this feature so it may be possible.
  16. i had similar problems on my Maxima. At first I thought it was my actual buttons since the car is 8 years old but after replacing the SWIPS the problem went away. definitely try reprogramming the SWIPS first and if that doesnt help look into swapping it out.
  17. To add on to what VBLUE says. I am willing to bet its not the navi that is off or the GPS signal that is wrong, its where the house numbers are placed on the map/in the map data. 3.7 miles is quite a big distance but if your house is between MAIN ST and ELM ST and the GPS says you are currently between MAIN ST and ELM ST you're fine. Again, 3.7 miles is a much larger distance that I would say is normal (I would say .1 to .5 miles is what i tend to see) but at some point you have to start using your eyes to find the house numbers anyway. Test it with another address somewhere else and
  18. That is actually a glitch and there isnt much you can do about it. You just have to be patient and it will go away. Sometimes waiting a few seconds and hitting the MAP or MENU buttons seemed to help clear it but it may just have been in my head. From what I can tell it actually has something to do with the phone you are using. Not to say that there is something wrong with your phone but it may happen frequently with one phone and not at all with another. Personally, I have a Blackberry 8330 for work and have had 3 different personal phones over the last 2 years. With my AVICF900BT and
  19. Only thing I can suggest is relocating your GPS antenna and making sure it is mounted on a piece of metal. If it is currently under the dash put it on top of the dash and put the provided metal/felt base underneat it.
  20. The icon in the upper right corner of the map screen is no longer there? If you see a square icon with an "N" in it, tap that once and it will bring you to 3D mode with car facing up. Tap it a second time and you will see the 2D map with the car facing up. Tap it a 3rd time and you will be back to North always up. If that icon is not there I dont know what to say. I would be that it is there but if you applied an update I am unfamiliar with there is a chance that it is now under Navigation Settings like it is on the Z110BT.
  21. It is either a bad GMOS interface, it is hooked up incorrectly, or the GMOS MAY have a volume control dial on it that may need to be adjusted.
  22. Someone in the Z forums posted a similar issue with their iPhone. Just thought i'd point it out since I had nothing else to contribute. viewtopic.php?f=58&t=30078
  23. I do not have a Z but we do sell them. So are you using just your regular old USB iPod cable that came with your ipod? and that will work for music and data? I know the U310BT will work that way but the X-series wont.
  24. Perhaps there is a problem with the CD-IU50V or whatever iPod adapter you're using?
