  1. There was something to do with shuffle being on to that made it act up but I forget exactly what it was... I remember sitting in my car the 1st night (late at night) trying to figure out how to make it work and getting pretty mad LOL Now I use it all the time without even thinking about it and dont have any problems (with videos or music, I have both on my ipod) its a little tricky switching between the 2 and for some reason I never use shuffle and in fact I remember yelling at my kid once for turning it on but I cant remember why LOL
  2. I didnt buy the hd tuner yet (still thinking about it) but you need to either use 2 antenna's or you would need to use a Y adapter for your current tuner. IE they have seperate antenna inputs and wont be sharing the antenna. The hd tuner does recieve analog radio though so you could just use the hd tuner and just not use the current tuner if you wanted

tysmith14, I'm betting that you've already completed this but... I think the idea is to ground that pin itself not to use it for a ground you're just using the mute wire so you have a wire that fits nicely in the plug end
  4. jmccaughin, Did you check the disk for any new background images? I'm wondering if they added any new gauge images or anything. It just said background images but didnt specify anything. It is pretty sad that they come out with a new disk and the enduser is left trying to find some evidence that "anything" was updated LOL. Id just like it if they added the proper menu for the HD radio and maybe tweaked a few things. Theres probably little chance they're going to update anything at all on the D3 after this next update "if it ever comes". Hopefully they will at least do the things I mentione
  5. VBLUE42, Granted I was lucky and didnt have to downgrade my firmware or etc, but I use my ipod without even thinking about it anymore. It's not really any aggrivation. I was agrivated for about a day, woohoo LOL
  6. I have an ipod classic 160GB and I can play video fine on my D3 I havent checked my firmware version but from what I understand you need version 1.0.2 or something which Ive seen links on how to downgrade. When I 1st got it I didn't think it was going to work and I was a bit unhappy to say the least, but I figured it out in about a day of messing around with it Heres what you have to do... 1. On the D3 select the ipod and then hit the video button It will say something like "see ipod for full control" on the D3 screen 2. Pull out your ipod. Use the ipod to select a video (mak
  7. The ability to xfer the phonebook is a function of the phone and not the NAV. Check the manual on your phone. It needs to be able to send data over BT.
  8. jstevens, Have you tried using the voice dialing? How well does that work? I read someone else on here (who didnt specify which phone they were using) say that they couldnt hear the phone ask for confirmations etc or something. I'm happy with my LG phone. I also didn't expect to be able to do voice diaing on the D3 when I bought it (or I would have shelled out the other $1000 for the Z, which to me was not worth the extra money). I really don't need to get the V3 unless I'm going to get something out of it. If I can get voice dialing out of the D3 then I'd be dumb not to do it, but if
  9. r6-rider07, I have a boyo cam with my D3. I dont know the exact model and Im not sure the exact price (it came free with my D3) It's pretty much the same cam in that link you posted though except is that one plastic? Mine is metal. It looks pretty much the same on screen as that pic that was posted by dz, minus the wierd grid lines and folded space that gives you a simulation of floating above the back of your car. I'm happy with the boyo A cam is a cam as far as Im concerned. Its just a matter of how does it look mounted on your car, and will it break or not.
  10. knight20, Pioneer says you can't downgrade, so unless someone has a hack or whatever...
  11. I was thinking about getting a V3 but a friend of mine had a problem with his auto connecting in his bmw so I was kinda turned off by that. The V9 is more then I want to spend right now and not even sure if that one auto connects either. Curious how the V3 works in there. Any review or whatever of using it with the D3 from someone thats used it would be nice. Come back and let me know how it goes, if you would. I have an LG phone that I use with my D3, it auto connects and stays connected very well. I have some numbers I use often stored in the D3 but I can't xfer the phone book
  12. I'm curious what the new background images look like That is of course about all youre going to get for your efforts according to Pioneer. Someone post a pic of the new background for me lol
  13. Upgrade for the D3 with the CNDV-80MT disk For customers using AVIC-D3, AVIC-X3 By upgrading the navigation system with this disc, following points are renewed. – The map database – Background images(AVIC-D3 only) The other operations are essentially the same as those at the time you purchased the hardware.
