  1. I have a 42" Samsung Plasma with an HD cable box, Xbox 360, PS3, HD DVD player and a 7.1 channel Harman kardon receiver. I haven't noticed any spikes in my electric bill. If it went up at all it couldn't have been more than 5 bucks. Hope this helps.

    Device ID

Hey guys. Can anyone tell me how I find the device ID of my F700BT? Thanks, Scott
  5. Hey guys. Just installed the LeetLauncher 2.0 and so far it's wotking very nicely. I need a little help with the TomTom maps. I don't know if we can talk about it here or not, but, I found the TomTom maps and I have the unlock code, I just don't know how to use it. I put the maps on the SD card and I went to the TomTom icon, it loads, but it tells me I need to enter the code and what not. I need assistance unlocking the maps that I downloaded. I have a few keygen files and what not, but I am using a mac so they really do nothing for me. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate i
  6. I don't know what all you have done or attempted to do to resolve this issue yet. I have the F700BT and I am using the iPhone 3g as well and was experiencing the same problem. I followed the directions on the following thread and now not only is my voice dial working, I am getting caller ID to show on my radio also. It is important that EVERY entry in the phonebook.db file be correct, not just some that you use often, but every single file needs to be in the correct format. After I edited the entire file, I was hoping just to get my voicedial working, but I got the caller id as well.
  7. Ok guys. Just tried this for the first time and so far everything seems to be working great just didn't have time to copy the maps and everything while on my 10 minute break at work. Just from what I've seen so far, I have a quick question. Once I go into the iGo or TestMode, is it possible to get back to the main AVIC software? I know it says to push the down button, and when i do, all I see are the options for TomTom, iGo, Garmin and TestMode. I don't see a button to flip back over to the AVIC software. I'm sure it's something simple, but thanks for the help.
  8. Hey Spyderwalk. I have an F700BT and the iPhone 3g and was having the same problem with voice dial. Also, caller id would not work, only showing phone number and not names. Here is a link to the post that I followed to fix all of my problems. It may be a little difficult to understand, but keep reading, once you figure it out, it is an easy fix and voice dial works AND caller id now show names. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... voice+dial Good Luck and welcome to the site!

    EQ settings

EQ settings are not neccessarilly one size fits all. It depends on a lot of different factors such as your car, what kind of speakers you use, what kind of amps you are running, if you have a crossover network, what kind of music you listen to and above all...personal preference, find what sounds good to you and go with it. That being said, I am running an F700 with an Alpine amp pushing my mids and highs which are 6.5" component Infinity Reference Series. I have an Alpine amp pushing my single 12" Alpine SWR-1242D sub in a ported box. I am in a small Scion xA which is a hatchback. I w
  10. yeah, i switched it to night mode instead of auto just to check. everything seems to be working. my unit is brand new...well about a week old if that makes any difference or not.
  11. well...this is odd. I looked at the non working data.zip and it was 6.3mb, the working one was only 5.4...obviously something went wrong when i only copied a 4kb file. So i copied the file to the working data.zip and tried that one instead. Same Problem. So next, I put the working data.zip in without removing the schemes to see if I could atleast get day schemes working and they did...however, I tried 4 or 5 night schemes and they were working as well. I made sure to try the "gerd" one that was causing problems and it worked. So basically, it looks like it's working without my copying
  12. that's what i was thinking....I put the one that is working on my sd card to look at next to the one that is not...but i moved the old data file back and deleted all the schemes and it loaded ok, so at least it's not bricked! lmao i believe the only thing i did to the new data.zip was move that cursor_places file over...but since i have the working file here, i'll try it on this one and see what happens.
  13. now when I turn it on, it says application failed to start. I'm gonna get rid of all schemes and go back to my old data.zip file until I hear from you on this.
  14. hey boris, I installed all of the schemes and copied the cursor_places file and I have the same problem. I don't get any kind of error MSG...it just says system in startup and after about four minutes it reboots. Av sources work and I can't even access settings once to choose a new color scheme. I have a 700. Any ideas?
  15. LOL. Don't worry about responding, just went out to my car on my lunch and I answered both of my questions. The numbers correspond to the Mobile or Home just like I figured, and the phone book on the iPhone does not need to be changed to work. Awesome find guys. This was the one HUGE disappointment for me as I don't have all my number memorized so I had no idea who was calling in. Not only is my voice dial working, but caller id is now showing names! Thanks a lot guys!
  16. Hey guys. I am using the iPhone 3G as well and I just finished editing the phonebook.db file through the FireFox add on. All names and number are exactly as they should be. I have two more questions about this... 1) In the MySQL database manager for FireFox, there is a column for dwType. The values in this field range from 0 to 3. I am assuming this has to do with the iPhone's organization of "Work" "Mobile" "Home" so on and so forth. Do these number make a difference for the voice dial to work? 2) Do I need to go through my actual phone book on my iPhone and change all of the name
  17. I have a 700BT and the iPhone 3G. I hear the phone ringing when I call from the handset or the stereo.
  18. I will check the Bluetooth version in a little bit. The radio has only done this to me one time. Hasn't happened since...hopefully it was just a freak thing and it won't happen again.
  19. I just bought my stereo a couple days ago. The box has the yellow seal on the outside that says 2.0. I haven't done anything to the bluetooth. I figured since it had the most recent firmware installed, everything was up to date. If my bluetooth is not up to date...do I really want to update it? I have read some posts with people complaining that they wanted to go back to earlier versions of the bluetooth firmware.
  20. I have a Scion xA hatcback, and my Alpine amp has a big blue LED on the top when it's on. As soon as I lost my audio, the first thing I did was look in the rear view, and I saw the light on in the reflection of my rear window. I drove home from work and used the phone and listened to the iPod and radio and used the Navi...didn't have any issues. All of my calls released as they should have and the music never stopped. This is very strange. I'll keep an eye on it though.
  21. I'm sure the search feature would have offered PLENTY of information on this one. This has been discussed quite a bit. In the current version of iGo, you cannot change the 2D map to face the same directions yoiu are traveling. It will ONLY face North. In the 3D mode however, you can do this. Supposedly in iGo 8.3 this may be a feature they add.
  22. Hey. I made the mistake of using the wrong wire on the D3, I made sure it was the right wire this time. Like I said, I lost ALL audio including the radio and even system key beeps. There was no sound when it went out. Nice thought though. I just went out to the car, and all my audio is back now. Maybe it was just a fluke and it won't happen again or maybe there is something to this. We will keep investigating. If anyone else has had experiences with either of these two issues, post what happened so we can try to figure this thing out!
  23. Hey guys. Just installed my F700BT yesterday and so far everything seems to be ok, a little buggy, but for the most part everything's cool. I have been installing for a local car stereo shop for about 4 years now, so I know that I have everything connected correctly. I will try to provide as much info. as possible to hopefully figure this thing out. Obviously, I am running the Pioneer AVIC-F700BT as the head unit. I am using all pre-outs for sound. 3 pairs of RCA's running to a Clarion Crossover, then 3 more RCA's running to amps. My highs amp is an Alpine and my sub amp is a class D MTX.
