  1. Well, being Opensource platform designed for Smartphones its use's will be limitless. Pretty much anything is possible... Use android with an ability to plug a USB Modem in for Mobile Broadband so your always connected and the world is your limit
  2. Anyone considered it? http://code.google.com/android/download_list.html Could we be the first?
  3. Nice! let us know how you get on... we need some sort of a browser too from what i understand. Ideally we need the guy who made the launcher on board with this because i get the feeling its going to need some coding from a professional
  4. I wonder if we could get one of the HSDPA USB Dongle's from a Mobile Network Operator to work with Windows CE? Perhaps something like this would help? http://www.bsquare.com/products/drivers ... bmodem.asp
  5. it would appear not. im really annoyed that we cant have it, no matter how bad it may be.
  6. I saw the other thread which detailed that the Vehicle Dynamics obviously isnt available, however since this unit runs Windows CE surely we can get an OBD II setup with some third party software? My thought process is along the lines of using the Launcher, an OBDII connector via the USB ( http://www.autologicco.com/pocketline/pocketobdpro.shtm Let me know your thoughts, it would be cool to be able to view OBDII info on this unit. Ant
  7. Im still in dude, just time constraints arent helping me at the mo
  8. nice one leetcoder. Any chance you have ARM decompiler skills? because if you do, then you will be a legend on this forum and modifying this device!
  9. Bump - any ideas? i would love to get this working... i feel cheated in a way because i thought it could do it as standard!
  10. CarPuter's are cool. But we already have AVIC's! This should be seriously looked into, as im sure it must be possible (certainly from a Win CE point of view) How we get the Pioneer software to then interact with an Internet Browser is a whole other question though. Technically the Unit should be capable.
  11. Just replied to the PM's. I meant that i have a Image.Res that you can upload into your emulator and it will show which file does what by the numbers contained on them. If i can get my 5MB limit increased i'll post it so you can see.
  12. This one is actually numbered though, so basically you run it on the device... look for the image you want to edit and it will have a number on it... take that number and find the file in your image.res and then you can modify what it looks like
  13. Swt! definately experiment. Once u get the hang of PS its a nice program, pretty annoying up until that point though! The background is the same for all the menus, and its 746_32K_MN-000_24b.bmp The buttons use multiple files to drive their images, however if you run the image.res below it will show you which file is which. Edit: I cant upload because i have 5MB limit which i have apparently hit (obviously with my other files)
  14. wow, this thread got busy. Try to keep it on topic if we can guys please. How about this for an idea of the Mazda theme? I have modified my Vista Theme to show what i mean... I know what all the BMP files do, so i can pretty much modify every cosmetic part of the system.. tell me how u want it to look and i will create it. Obviously functionality remains as standard.
  15. I actually might have something interesting to you on this because i have made a similar template for my Impreza.. i'll change the logo to a Mazda one and post it to see what you think.
  16. Cheers guys. I'll take requests providing the imagery is easy enough to find. adam.bard wants a MAC one done which i will try to do at the weekend. I also have some work to do with HackZ on this modification for the voice commands we want to make in the style of Kitt, so post the requests here and i'll see what i can do.
  17. Would you be willing to make a MAC theme? I'll have a scan for the image's and see what i can come up with.
  18. Its not that easy, the system runs its images in set sizes to a grid... unless you can find the parameters to modify that grid then you will always have the same amount of contacts on a line
  19. Second up, an Apple Style Theme Apple Theme.rar
  20. Having made a couple for mine, i thought i would start to share them and perhaps take some requests. First up, a Windows Vista Style Theme PS: Feedback is very welcome. Vista Theme.rar
  21. Nicely done Dantastic! HackZ - I got your PM so i'll add you to MSN when i get home from work and we can have a chat a bit later. Ideally we could do with getting it to mimic TomTom files, however i think our chances of pulling that off will be limited. Who's in to develop this then? -HackZ -marmski Dantastic? anyone else that can get on MSN a few nights and see if we can crack it? (bearing in mind im on UK Time, and im assuming you guys are US?)
  22. Hmm, well where do we go now then? It sounds like the key to this is to get the English US option set, however the EU units arent allowing us to select them meaning their must be something somewhere telling them not too. Thanks for making it easy Pioneer, we only paid £700.00 for this unit to find you disabled the best bits!
  23. 24. *Problem Solved* I saved the files as .PNG in Photoshop, and then opened them in Paint and saved them as .BMP from there. Now they work?! How weird. Anyways, here is my work so far for my STi
