    error tmc

I assume you are in Europe, try this: After the initial install I had no TMC anymore, got this fixed by changing the first row of your SYS.TXT to: [device] type="PIONEER746EW" like in my original SYS.TXT after reboot there was (to my relief) TMC available again, but the road signs looked to ma as an European somewhat funny, so i changed the following in your SYS.txt tmc_events_icon_set="$tmc.spr" small_tmc_events_icon_set="$smalltmc.spr" /just removed the 2 which propably pointed to the US road signs.
  2. Pioneer said "every Map Update is € 279,--"
  3. Correction, Pioneer European Hotline was still open and is now aware of the update As usual quality communication within Pioneer See you tomorrow Jörg
  4. This is not 3.0 as there are only a few "nice to haves" included not a single real bug. IGO 8.3 uses Navteq maps not Teleatlas anymore. Hotline is closed for the day over here in Europe, maybe one of the US guys can shed light on this. See you Jörg
  5. Same on Nokia, you can choose on the phone after the call is made to use the phone as handset or speakerphon cancelling the bluetooth connection. What I do if I have a longer call to make is: Disable Bluetooth on the phone , make the call, enable bluetooth on the phone while on the call so the call will go through the AVIC. This will bypass the Bluetoth pop up on the Avic and allow me to use the Navigation, TMC etc. the way it should be. Jörg
  6. sadly : Translates into (roughly): Hardware (!) and Software improvements have been made to this already performing unit. Both casing and buttons have been inproved to reduce the risk at injuries during montage. Also a better Bluetooth carkit has been added with better microphone properties. This unit also has the ability to interface (Radio and CD playback info)with the car's own info display, that's cool actually. Forget it! We have all been trapped in Pioneers misleading way of advertising before. I am German and able to read a little bit of Dutch as I have spend a lot
  7. Looking at the 9110 pics it is definately not the current IGO version they use. Everything else looks the same as the F 900bt. I stick to my expectations, if not, I'm sure the hackers will create an upgrade lol Jörg
  8. That sounds bad...for allexisting F-Series Owners and good for you! I hope for you that the new product is not as faulty as the F-Series still is.. Think about it and check the competition carefully. Jörg
  9. I doubt that there is an X-Series coming to replace the F-Series for several reasons: a) The F-Series is a good platform, just the software is sucks Pioneer would loose an estimated 90% of F-Series buyers as future customers for their whole product range c) They are just lauching the F-910bt as an Volkswagen option I'm expecting 2 packages: 1) Cost free firmware update with further bug fixes. Optional Tele Atlas Map update at a cost 2) "Upgrade" firmware update with new Navteq Maps, IGO 8.3 and further bug fixes at a quite significant cost. If they negotiate clever
  10. Button for satellite works fine, just tried it... You are correct, must have been my fat fingers Sorry Jörg
  11. Hi have installed your DATA6 and think it looks great. only one thing missing compared to the previous version: There is no direct access to the Sattelite reception screen by clicking the Icon any more. And one other thing I noticed: To me it feels that with your Mod implemented the touch screen is not very responsive. Feels a bit like pre 2.0. I may be wrong with that, but that would mean the screen was even worse at the beginning. Any othe opinions? CU Jörg
  12. Looks great, will give it a try Thanks Jörg
  13. The Device.nng contains the Serial Number of your device and is i.e. needed to sync with the Poicon Speedcam Service. Take a kook on you SD card, it is copied automatically onto every SD Card you use in the unit CU Jörg
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but moving from teleatlas to Navteq would imply IGO 8,3 !
  15. Hi guys, I'm somewhat disappionted by the 3D View here in Europe and understand this is due to the .DEM Files. I have currently WesternEurope.dem (120MB), EasternEurope.dem (100MB) and Eurasia.dem (9MB) Installed. Found a EuropeNASA.DEM (150MB) in the web. Question now: Will theat work with our Version of the IGO Software? Is that the newest one? Thanks Jörg
  16. Thank you for the info on the .dem files, will look around if there are different ones. Unfortunately I did not get the new voices working: Copied them into the "VoicesFolder", but they do not show up in System settings. Anybody got an idea? Thanks Jörg
  17. Hi, got your fabulous package installed yesterday and wanted to give you some feedback on my experience: After the initial install I had no TMC anymore, got this fixed by changing the first row of your SYS.TXT to: [device] type="PIONEER746EW" like in my original SYS.TXT after reboot there was (to my relief) TMC available again, but the road signs looked to ma as an European somewhat funny, so i changed the following in your SYS.txt tmc_events_icon_set="$tmc.spr" small_tmc_events_icon_set="$smalltmc.spr" /just removed the 2 which propably pointed to the US road sig
  18. There are still a lot of bugs in 1.9 Access to the route menue through the multi information window (bottom left) is not working anymore. The button is just not responding. Speed Limit warning is still not working properly, it always warns AT the limit no matter if set to 70% or to 130%. If you route is overlaying a TMC warning the colour (green) doesn't change (to violet) at some map scales. Incoming calls still do not show with Contact Name (may be fixed with the BT update) The navi voice is just not able to speak German numbers correct 480 turns into 48, 840 into 84. Jus
  19. Anybody of the specialistst here have any objections against using the BT update with the European 1.9 firmware? I don't want to screw anything up for possible future updates. Thank you Jörg
  20. I think in the US due to the BT update you can now control the unit while on a call, in Europe we still get the Popup which blocks the screen. Is that correct? thx
  21. Yep, sorry notced after the update it is 1.9 It is not the same as the 2.0 in the US, there are some things missing. There is no BT update, hence the Phone dialogue still blocks the System while on a call. But boot time is faster, Blue boxes are gone and contacts are showing with reference (Mobile, Work or home) and the touch screen responds much faster. So overall promising but we're not there yet Forgot to try: does the speed limit warning work now? See you Jörg
  22. Seems Europe is a smaller market for Pioneer, we get only 1.19 with less improvements than the US version. Will install and report Jörg
  23. Ever tried to find the next petrol station on your route, no matter which brand? Or the nearest restaurants no matter which cuisine? I think searching by brand is a nice gimmoick, but they forgot the core functions Have a nice one Jörg
