  1. the reason i did the factory reset is cause usb wouldnt responds(usb thumb drive or ipod) i took apart the unit thinking its the usb cable but it wasnt. took a multimeter and did a test and its fine. i would be able to recharge my ipod without having the need to switch to ipod for input1. it worked fine a week ago, and now it doesnt do anything. im starting to think its a hardware issue.
  2. haha..i mustve read wrong. anyways. factory resetting doesnt effect the mods. heres my main problem. when i plug the ipod or usb in, it doesnt do anything. as if its not connected. i checked the usb cable (going to the headunit) and its fine(took it apart and tested each pin to pin). im so clueless why it doesnt work anymore.
  3. thats my guess to...but at the same time...i think differ. whenever someone mods the unit and u hop on test mode...it tends to clear out the previous mods and brining it back to factory state or sort of speak. i mightve read this wrong tho. ill find out in few mins lol thanks!
  4. hi all. if i were to do a factory reset, will the hacks/mods be removed? ive searched but cant find the ans im looking for.
  5. so it seems like my USB cable on the headunit side is shot. i tried 3 diff ipod USB cables and non of them are working. and i kno those cables work. has this happend to anyone else? before i take the whole thing apart to replace the cable..should i try something else? the master reset(factory settings) is eject + reset for 15 seconds...correct? Thanks in advance.
  6. ive read that the D or Z series, they took out the cd changer controller..but i cant seem to figure out for the f-series. product discription says theres cd changer controller but my CDX-6disk isnt getting picked up.
  7. does anyone know how to increase the amount of memo i can save on sirius? i think its capped at 10 songs. also, im trying to find the images on the preset on siruis. ive checked all .res but no avail
  8. just about any backup camera works as long as its RCA output. i have the audiovox backup camera($99 at bestbuy) and it works. just go find the bulb to the reverse light and tap the wire. thats the easiest way. you can also tap off the gear selector but that requires some knowlegde.
  9. as far as the avg speed, you can find that out when you use the tracker. tells you the distance (miles and time length), start and stop time, avg speed and you can preview on the map of the path you went. its under settings->navi->visual->tracker (lower right button) btw, default is off
  10. thanks! ill give this a shot later today.
  11. i did a search and couldnt find anything for linear compass. i did see someone have it and also notice that the image is there in the ui_pioneer\800_480. ill prob play around with the navigatemap_800_480.ui when i get a chance. but till then, anyone know the hack for it? thanks in advance. ps. still new to this! haha
  12. i just did this...the boot time was in the low 20 seconds, cd started around 13seconds. (this is jus rough numbers). borism-yes, there are no euro maps, but just like windows...it might take the extra time to search and try to load the euro maps. just a thought. overall, i did notice the response is alot sharper(quick). ill play a little bit more.
  13. hey, do you think you can send me the gulim.ttc? didnt work for me last night, trying to figure out if its the ttc thats wrong. thanks! johnnykim at johnny-kim dot com

    Drive report?

menu->settings->navigation->visual->track log(or something like that) start it. and it will log your travel. but if you dont save it, it doesnt save by itself(i think) to allow auto start/save, you have to go under settings to do auto on which i cant remeber on top of my head. export the log onto a sd card and use it with AVIC FEED on your computer.
