  2. Did pioneer ever make a full version video on how to use all these features? I see they have one minute videos, but that is a joke.
  3. My installer said he had to drop the Nakamamichi amp and sub bass as they required unique connections?
  4. I did the hardware bypass when the unit was installed which is essential. I have read about the software method, but someone said you still have to change the ground wire? The only advantage of the software bypass is for those that have installed the unit, they do not have to remove the unit for access to the wires on the rear. However, if you have to access rear wires, why not suggest to do the hardwire bypass which is foolproof? Am I missing something? Also, can the MSN feature ever be added to the f700? Thanks, this forum is great.
  5. Make sure you do it before the install. Most shops will not do it, liability.

  7. Just had my 700bt installed in my LX. My suv was a 2001, and the in dash GPS was not any option. Here are some comments. No kit available for the LX. The original nagamichi is very unique, so do not use a small shop who only installs kits. My installer said he had to remove the amplifier? Said it was to unique to attach to? Any comments. He also said the subwoofer was to unique also, to attach to? My install fee was $315. The in dash trim and mount did not allow the 700bt to have a slight angle up. Not a big problem, but new factory gps in dash always have a slight tilt upward for
  8. I have seen the hardware hack to allow input during motion, but was there a software version to get this also? In most high end GPS they make a hidden button method for technicians to achieve this?
  9. I have never heard of any gps that did not have a map option in the direction of your travel?
  10. I just installed the unit. How do you get in 2D-- the map to show the direction you are traveling? It does it in 3d, but not 2d?? paul
