  1. I just got done reinstalling my f700bt. I had a PAC speaker to line level converter on the speaker outs that was causing general problems with sound quality. This time, I removed the hi-lo converter and replaced the speaker connections on the car-side of the wiring harness with RCA plugs (They go to a stock Bose amp that wants a line level input), and plugged those into the pre-outs on the f700bt. Music sound quality is now significantly improved, but I am now running into a different problem. The pre-outs on the f700bt aren't quite hot enough. I can listen at the upper end of the volume
  2. Thanks for the tip. I should have noted that I use iTunes for iPod syncing and that I have the latest version of the iPod Classic Firmware. I also recently restored my iPod to factory settings. This is a strange problem indeed.
  3. I am having the same problem with my 120GB iPod Classic. Everything plays fine, but if I try to use the alphabet search on Artists it just says, "not found". The search works fine in the albums mode, but that's not as helpful. I've been digging around and I can't seem to find any information about this. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
  4. I am also having difficulties with the POI files. After replacing the maps and POIs, I have no poi files despite the fact that I have copied them into the corresponding folder. I've noticed a couple of posts in this thread where other users are having the same difficulties. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening? Does a database need to be rebuilt? That's about the only thing I can think of.
