I posted a solid blue on diaftias v2 thread, should be on page 4. Extract the bmp from that zip and paste it in your common folder. Thanks N-S-E-W. I will try it out! Jimbo No problem, Jimbo. Did it work okay for you?
  3. i think i'll include this on skin 3 with a setting to select different welcome greetings Go for it. What did you think of the oog I put in? I did edit out my last name before posting. Didn't want everyone to hear Mr. Smith so I took Smith out.
  4. here's a suggestion, how about having an on/off setting for it? Good suggestion, but I'm okay with it as is for now. It only comes on at initial boot up. With the 500, I use standby a lot, so it does not need to boot up every time I go somewhere..
  5. good job, Thanks, IDT. It's actually pretty funny. Here's the oog file I merged together for the message. As the title says........a little fun. welcome message.zip
  6. Off the top of my head, I can think of four. The original zip available to us with road blocking is this one; viewtopic.php?f=34&t=24444&start=0 You'll want the one in the original post on page 1 just above where it says andr2000. Or these two that are based on that zip: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 04&start=0 http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=27989 Or the fourth that was created by IDT that uses the code from the first one: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 6&start=45
  7. Finally got around to this today. In the start.ui file in the section, I added playsound "welcome" I also added an oog file of a couple of Homer Simpson sayings in the audio folder. The oog file plays immediately after the startup message goes away. Be sure that the file name without extension is the same that's in quotation marks after playsound. EDIT****12/8 to show in script form how it's formatted in my file. The playsound is added after the tag
  8. This is for 2.??? version and before. If you are trying to install it on an updated version 3.0 and after, it will not work. You do have your backup, right?

  12. Woohoo... I finally have blue signposts again!!! Thnx a million NSEW!!! No problem, glad you got the blue signs working. I forgot to put some transparency in the bmp I posted, hope you don't mind.
  13. Ran this for 80 miles yesterday, with and without a route. No error messages for me. I'm going back to the zip I was using before, so I won't be able to test for a while.
  14. Which version are running, 2.0, 3.0 etc....

Same message from last week, yet in another thread!!!!!! Read EVERY link in this thread four times, yes four times because you are too dense. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18977 After you finish that and if you still don't find the answer, take a picture of your issue with your screen name attached plus the date of the picture. If you can't do that, no one should answer any of posts.
  16. I just installed this to try to re-create the memory error, plus to change the roadsigns to blue for merten3000. I started with all the features turned on, and simulation at many different speeds. In the picture above notice the simulate speed is 5157 mph.A few minutes earlier I had a signal and the speed voice was announcing the speed of the test speed camera I set up during simulation. The road signs were on as well as the text scrolling on the current street. At the moment it's running really smooth on my 500. Bear in mind that I do not have a radio tuner nor was I playing any music through
  17. The file I had posted on page 2 was wrong. Here is the correct file to change the overhead road signs to blue. You can either 1) extract the files in the zip and place them in the common folder and re-zip your data file, or 2) reomove the ui_pioneer folder from the attached zip and drop it in your apl2 folder (the same place your your data.zip goes in). I also darkened the blue color. It does look better than this crappy picture. signpost template bmp & ini.zip
  18. ovalball - to change the location of the speed sign and speed sign text, you need to alter the scripts800_480.ui file too. They're currently locked in based on the locations there. Find this and alter from there. No matter what you put in navigate map file it won't move as you've discoved. The script in the scripts file was created to have the on/off settings for that sign. Change the else_run x locations sprSL1 is the bmp and the other is the text. runif vFullScreenSpeed "0" 'sprSL1.x 800, txtSL1.x 800' else_run 'sprSL1.x 725, txtSL1.x 731' What did you change to get
  19. I dont know what purpose they would serve either. I seem to be having no memory issues so far with V2, and both mods have these files. You can tax the system a bit by turning on all the features and planning a route of say 500 miles with a couple via points in between, then running it through multi-draw. Also simulate a route with alot of turns at normal speed with a TTS voice enabled. If you don't get an error doing that chances are you won't get one later.
  20. theme changer is a PIA, i have tried integrating it before and spent hours on it and did'nt have any luck making it run, i will looak at it again and see if i could make it work this time, i might also add the driver alert from Gurjon though that thing too is PIA, what is reverse route? could you elaborate Reverse route from the gurjon skin will route back to where you started on the previous route. I got about five days of screwing around with themecahnger. Keep getting the parse error <\script> expected message. I feel I'm getting closer. I'm giving it a rest for a few a
  21. yeah...... any hints for your next feat of magic.... i cant live without your previous mod... not really sure on how i'm going to design it, i'll probably fix the last reported bug on skin 1 and 2 and hopefully have some ideas by then hint..hint... themechanger and reverse route.
  22. Alex - I found three .DS_Store files in your zip. I wonder if those are contributing to the out of memory issues some users are getting. From what I can tell they serve no purpose and may have been created by the MAC program you used to zip the file??? I'm not at the point yet where I can install this (I don't use an emulator) to re-create the memory issue. Will someone who does have the problem, please delete those instances from the zip. There is one in the ui_pioneer folder, one in the 800_480 folder and one in the common folder.
  23. Glad to see that you got another AVIC! Man, I would be lost if mine died! Same here. Welcome Back IDT.
  24. The date was my first mod back in November/December of last year. There's a thread here somewhere where BorisM helped find the right textmodel. At that time no one this f series forum was displaying the date. That was a big step in getting me started in this. That dddd stuff means nothing as far as the textmodel is concerned. I've been here a long time and I don't remember ever seeing the day of week displayed through IGO. For the date you can try to add this directly under the time script and before . Bear in mind that when adding things in a ui file if you forget any symbol or have a
  25. Don't give up so quickly. Let me research this a little. Give me a few days to load this zip and try it on mine and and make the changes stick. Don't want the European people to have the wrong color. Diaftia - Is all the reduced roadsign stuff still from my zip? Did you change anything else regarding the road signs? Okay, so I'm too impatient. Try this: remove the ui_pioneer folder from the zip and drop it in your apl2 folder (the same place as your zip),. Boot it up and see what happens. If this does not work I'll look at it this weekend. EDIT ****File deleted. I had the wrong i
