  1. Don't give up so quickly. Let me research this a little. Give me a few days to load this zip and try it on mine and and make the changes stick. Don't want the European people to have the wrong color. Diaftia - Is all the reduced roadsign stuff still from my zip? Did you change anything else regarding the road signs?
  2. Yeah I can do that. You want me to tell you how or just wait till I get to it? Its in the ui_blankscreen layer in the navigatemap_800 file. I don't think there's a visiblemodel for day of week. The date should be no problem at all.
  3. If you have installed the official update from Pioneer you may already have a compatible tts file that says the left/right announcements. Put a route in and see if you get the announcements.
  4. How do I load this on unit? j/k Boris - Anything else that you know of? I've got five days of working on incorporating themechanger. What a pain. My new meteo file is waiting to be utilized.
  5. So where in the data.zip are these branding files from N-S-E-W in case I (or others) would like to remove then to reduce the size? I am about to try out you V2 mod to see how it goes. Thanks for the great work. I can probably assemble a listing of the files added, but it would be time consuming and most likely won't change any of the memory problems. Bear in mind that the zip has lots of features in it. The sum of all may cause a memory issue or it could be something in one of the scripts causing some people to have problems. It may also be a crumb or two left over from a previous mod
  6. Thanx but it did not do the job. Maybe my english is not clear (I'm dutch...) so I'll add a picture to try and explain more precise what I mean: The arrow with the single * points to a roadsign which had the european blue colors. But after applying your method I still get green 'signposts'. See the arrow with two **. So maybe that's not called signposts but billboards or something... Anyway I'm looking for a way to turn those 'billboards' to blue instead of green. p.s. I used the picture from another mod because I did not find another one to make it clear... Thanks in advance
  7. Located in the common folder you need to modify the laneinfo_signpost.ini file. Towards the bottom of the file change the RGB color in this line signpost_background_color=RGB(0,163,245) The 0,163,245 is a blue color that should be pretty close to your sign colors. You can check RGB colors at this site http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html
  8. Diaftia - cmh had a AO1 version that was pretty much dummy proof. Some people STILL figured out a way to mess up the install. cmh combined testmode with the zip to auto install.
  9. Instead of modifying the pioneer ini you can try it through the sys.txt. Add to sys.txt: [pioneer] parking_break_speed=256.0
  10. I did try that but it was a fancy one with some alpha layers. Maybe I will just use some random bmp that is good to test. Thanks for the tip. So I used an image that was a system default image for current road. Still get the same error. Can someone post their working code on here so I can compare to what I am using? Here try mine. This is what's in there now and what I had pre 3.0. Disregard the first onrelease as it does not work yet. You can probably just delete it and the change the onlongclick to onrelease: onrelease='EXEC "other.pioneer.show_phone"' onlongclick='EXEC

Read EVERY link in this thread four times, yes four times because you are too dense. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18977 After you finish that and if you still don't find the answer, take a picture of your issue with your screen name attached plus the date of the picture. If you can't do that, no one should answer any of posts.
  12. Going downtown tomorrow. Figure I would simulate the route. When I got downtown the beauty of the night sky in the backdrop of the buildings was fabulous.
  13. That may be where I got mine. I don't remember for sure, though. I have read that Navteq using a different compression level or something like that, so the files are smaller. That's a huge difference between the two. It's possible there's less content. Hope you have better results going forward. Sorry I was a little harsh in my response yesterday morning> I need to step back a little and not let this thing get to me like that.

Of course. The best mod for some people and the OP is the hammer mod. You take a 22 oz hammer, the one with the meat cleaver type head and then mark the screen directly in center and smack it. It's guaranteed to give you a custom mod. You will no longer need to steal maps or ask stupid questions and especially won't need to waste our time when the info is already here.

No, stealing is bad, very bad.
  16. Oh crap, I forgot about you Canuckleheads. Happy Belated Thanksgiving to the Canucks.
  17. Happy Thanksgiving to all fellow members and especially to Jason for providing us the use of this free forum.
  18. Thank you David for providing and reconfiguring the themes to work on our units. I have installed most of them without any issues other than it takes a little longer to bring up the list when changing themes. I have no problem waiting a little more for the list in order to have a larger selection to choose from. Thanks again!
  19. vansmack2 - I checked both of the other POI's you listed and on mine they announced destination on the right. I'm posting a link to the ca poi file of my unit. Different issues of POi files give differing results. I have read that Navteq's POI's give better accuracy than TeleAtlas. I believe mine are NavTeq issued. You can also have more than one POI file but it would in most cases list the same POI twice. I'm sticking with one. Before you change the POI file, do a direct address input on both and see if it changes to destination on the right. As an FYI - One of the things that promp
  20. More leg work on that Fry's location. It appears that when selecting the Fry's location through the POI's that it puts the destination in the middle of the east and west bound lanes. Yesterday I directly inputted the address and it announced the destination on the right. Today I selected Fry's through the POI's and it announced the location on the left. I then put Fry's as a via point and the inputted address as the destination. The via point wound up being about 180 feet ahead, but in the center of the east/west lanes. Below is a picture showing the via point flag in the center or median if t
  21. This thing is like atari from the late 70's where they had everyone trying to uncover easter eggs. I just can't believe one year later and I'm still messing with this trying to make it better than they sold it to us. Why, oh why, oh why?
  22. I wish I was that talented to figure that out. Maybe in my next life.
  23. Just added it in. Interesting that there is a default value in there of 0. Wonder why they shut it off. Shit!!! It sure is in there. WTF Pioneer, do you know how long I tried to find the f'n solution and you pricks had it under our nose the whole time. What a bunch of pricks with ears, a**h******
  24. Alex - Since this being is beta tested and you mentioned including it in your next set, you should be able to add the destination left/right code to the Pioneer.ini file located in the project config folder. This way, everyone who uses your zip won't have to use a modified sys.txt to have it. [sound] announce_viadest_side=1
